Leafs got sold this morning to Bell/Rogers.

1.3 Billion dollars is the number I've read.

Mlse sale, rogers spends approx $533 mill for 37.5% share, = by bell. Tanenbaum increases share by 5% to 25%. Total sale $ 1.32 bill

A couple issues will need to be figured out too.

Bell has the naming rights to the Bell Center where the Canadiens play and Rogers owns the the naming rights to where the Canucks play. I think that under the NHL rules you can't do this so I don't know if they are just going to pull their naming rights from the building off or do it some other way.

This is a massive deal.

A good point is brought up. With Rogers and Bell owning the leafs, will the media change. Rogers owns the Blue Jays and you can only watch the Jays on Rogers Sportsnet. So will you only in the future be able to watch the Leafs on TSN (Bell) and Sportsnet (Rogers).
