So I gotta question for more veteran hockey heads.

The big buzz lately for the Hawks has been how well the kids have been playing. The question is. How likely is it, and how has it been it the past that these kids sizzle out? I mean in hockey in general. Do kids make a splash and then fade?

Just tryin to figure out how good A. Shaw and J. Haynes are and if the can/will legit help the hawks in the playoffs.

Generally in hockey your avg. prospect like Jimmy Haynes or Andrew shaw may have good little spouts but what will kill them over the long run is the constant grind of the game and its why you rarely see 18 and 19 year olds playing in the NHL.

Both of them are in their first pro seasons so unless something just flicks in their games they will probably slow down in terms of production while the season goes on.
