    WHAT?

I loved the original Survivor Series concept matches. They were awesome. All the TV stars in big teams in elimination matches. What's not to love?

Plus that one year they did the ultimate survivor match where all the winners of the matches ended up teaming at the end of the night which led to Tito Santana, Warrior and Hogan against the heels.

Then in 95 they did the wildcard gimmick which mixed heels and faces and that only lasted a couple years.

    Then in 1997, they stopped.

Yeah, i'm with Emprie. Survivor Series survival matches were great.

I always enjoyed the tag team survival matches. The year they did the Demolition/Powers Of Pain double turn, jobber teams The Young Stallions and The Conquistadors made it to the end. A young W2BTD was beside himself by the absurdity of this. Those tag versions were also great because it was 10 vs. 10, and you essentially had guys lined up all the way down to the next corner waiting for tags.

Makes no sense to me that Survivor Series has retained its name or hasn't gone back to the old format. You'd think with the brands it would make more sense now than it ever did.
