In memory of Kantaro Hoshino, who passed away earlier at the age of 67. A wrestler, manager, and local promoter for New Japan, Hoshino formed a team with another legend who passed away recently, called the Yamaha Brothers (originally in the old Japan Pro and later New Japan), and they were one of the more well known teams of the 60s and 70s. After retiring, Hoshino became a local promoter and his promoting team (including his son) are responsible for many of New Japan's successful shows at Kobe World Hall and Amagasaki Memorial Park Gymnasium.
Hoshino also made a comeback on-screen as the manager of the Makai Club about 7-8 years ago, where his "BISSHIBISHI!" catchphrase became so popular it was even included in a tour name (see the September tour).
