Admit he is an overhyped MMA fighter, or justify his resume. Its one or the other. Do it rob.Comment

But I believe he is the best HW 'fighter' in the world and would bet on him against anyone currently in MMA alsoLiquidrob's Top 10 Fighters Rankings

also, why do you keep saying 'no one cares about kickboxing'?
I care, Shogun cares, BigPapa does to, a lot of fight fans care about K-1, just because you dont that means nothing to meLiquidrob's Top 10 Fighters Rankings

Because in the context of MMA discussion, kickboxing means nothing. You always factor it in, its irrelevent.Comment

I love K1. And I do think you take a fighters accomplishments into account to a small degree when you assess them as an MMA fighter. But its only to a small degree.
What Rob seems to be trying to do for Overeem should then be done across the board. And talking about a "fighter" without the context of a given sport becomes kinda meaningless. If this is how things were going to be done, then we should have been talking about Semmy Schilt as one of the best heavyweight "fighters" for a long time now - his MMA record is spotty, but he's more dominant at kick boxing than Overeem. Yet no one looks at this way, because it really doesn't make sense to, Rob.
We could also start talking about Nagashima as a top "fighter" because he's a good kickboxer who just KO'd a top-level MMA fighter in the MMA portion of their mixed fights.Comment

Lol, you say this, but then have no problem debating for pages and pages on things like p4p and technical striking, which are 100% mythical and subjective. At least straight rankings are based on things that are somewhat tangible.Comment

I <3 The 'Reem, however, Rob's nuthugging is reaching levels similar to the Machida epidemic of 2008-09.
