My argument has always been that tournaments won't work in big time north american MMA. The egos at the top are too big.

And one night tournaments, unfortunately, are disasters waiting to happen, where alternates often end up winning. History supports that.

Plus, tournaments historically don't sell, because people want to know what they are paying for.
