    5. Dan Henderson

Dan Henderson makes the top 5, Dan is an interesting case for this list, earlier is his career he got the nickname 'Decision Dan' and that's fine, but Hendo has some of the best KO's of all time racked up since then, the most memorable/brutal would be at UFC 100 against Michael Bisping which was as close to a decapitation you will see in the cage

Henderson is arguably the greatest American Mixed Martial Artist of all time, Dan has fought a who’s who of MMA legends and fought anywhere from MW to HW during his career. He is coming off 2 straight TKO wins over Babalu and Feijao and is currently looking to fight Fedor in July, which would just add to his list

Dan isn’t the most technical striker, but he has honed his right hand into one of the most devastating weapons and signature strikes in MMA, combined with his wrestling background and granite chin he is a tough fight for anyone in any weight class

    Record: 27 - 8 - 0

    Wins:
    12 (T)KOs
    2 Submissions
    13 Decisions

    Losses:
    3 Submissions
    5 Decisions

Next Fight: Possibly Fedor in July

I originally had Lombard in my top 5 predictions but removed them after you suggested Dan Henderson.

            THE GOAT SNUB!

Fedor, Fedor, Fedor, this guy is made for a list like this, 1 lose you can still make it on the list, 2 in a row, no dice comrade

I just don’t see the fire in Fedor anymore, don’t see the training either, got sloppy against Werdum, let Big Foot double leg him in seconds start of the 2nd round, still had the fight and heart to take a beating from a guy with 50 lbs on him for an entire round, but the desire to be the best just isn’t there anymore, maybe he gets it back his next fight, I will be watching…

Can a Dan Henderson fight spark The Last Emperor?

                4. 'Shogun' Rua

If I had to describe Shogun in one word it would be 'violence', when Shogun is at top form with minimal rules he is one of the most dangerous fighters of all time, during his Pride days he completely destroyed the best fighters in the world, kicks, punches, knees, kicks, soccer kicks, foot stomps, you name it, head were rolling in Japan

His UFC run has been a mixed bag, tough loss to Forrest, than an underwhelming fight against Mark Coleman, followed up by classic Shogun minus the soccer kick that was in the chamber against Chuck Liddell. Shogun than got the call to fight the ‘unbeatable’ Machida for the title, Shogun completely changed up his game plan and won/lost a decision to Machida, but Shogun put a dent in the armor of Machida, than in there rematch he dropped the game plan in the first fight and TKO’d Machida and became the UFC 205 champ

Shogun than fought Jon Jones after another long layoff, the size difference was huge and Shogun just took a beating from a young hungry fighter catching a flying knee early and it was downhill from there, but 1 as the champ won’t keep Shogun off this list, Shogun is violence and I love it

                Record: 19 - 5 - 0

                Wins 16 (T)KOs
                1 Submissions
                2 Decisions

                Losses:
                2 (T)KOs
                2 Submissions
                1 Decisions

Next Fight: Looks like Forrest Griffin, Shogun needs to win this fight badly

In this case P4P theory is being applied, surprised you were the first to mention it, Jones has huge physical advantages over the division, Shogun especially

Even with a win over Shogun, Shogun has way more bigger wins than Jones who's only big win is Shogun himself, just mixing everything into the equation for this example, obviously if we are strictly talking rankings Jones would be higher than Rua

I had no beef cause of Shoguns longevity. This list is pretty cookie as it is, so the guidelines arent exactly set in stone, so its hard to have any beefs.

                              SF SNUB!

Gilbert Melendez was on the original list, even on the 2nd list, finally I decided to leave him off (Fedor also), I believe Gilbert is one of the best fighters in the world, a top pound for pound fighter, but I just didn’t feel right putting him on the list, I feel like he does try to finish every fight, except the biggest fight of his career

Gilbert is a guy who always talks about being elite, being as good as ‘The UFC guys’ (which he is), but when you get your chance to fight on network television you don’t go out there to win a decision, to just do what you have to do, you go out to make a statement, Gil is/was a ‘Strikeforce guy’, even while making a name in Japan he was one of the corner pieces of Strikeforce when they decided to step it up, not saying Gil didn’t, because he has, just didn’t do it when everything fell into place on CBS

Gil didn’t have the luxury of being a ‘made man’ in the UFC, putting on a stinker here and there doesn’t mean as much to the casuals when you are in the UFC, he should have and could have TKO’d Aoki, instead he went safe and now is playing the price by being left of the most prestigious list in MMA, the Kawajiri fight almost got him back on, but a little to late, a little to late...

                                3. Anderson Silva

What? And1? Yes, my arch enemy comes in at number 3, Anderson Silva is an all time great, some say the greatest, Silva is a highlight waiting to happen, besides what I think were mental lapses he is a destructive force

Since getting flying heel hooked by Ryo Chonan, Anderson has fought 17 times, 14 finishes, 2 decisions and 1 DQ loss where he KO’d Okami from his back. He have seen an upward elbow strike KO of Fryklund, a dismantling of Chris Leben, a nose job to Rich Franklin, submitting Dan Henderson, a complete and utterly embarrassing beat down of Forrest Griffin, a front kick to the grill of Belfort plus many more memorable moments, this guy (when he wants to), will make you just look silly

I know what you’re thinking, yes, his performances against Maia and Leites sucked, but that doesn’t overshadowed the bodies he has left crumbled in the past and that’s why he is still on the list, the man is a great martial artist and always looking to learn, he is And1 Silva

                                Record:
                                28 - 4 - 0

                                Wins:
                                16 (T)KOs
                                5 Submissions
                                7 Decisions

                                Losses:

                                2 Submissions
                                1 Decisions
                                1 Other

Next Fight: A loss to Okami
