Thats fine, but this sport is still about fighting, and GSP will not go down like some of the great 'fighters' in history, like And1, Fedor, Saku, Wand, etc..which I'm sure he is fine with, even though he apologizes after every fight

This list is about the best 'fighters, just like if I did a boxing list, Mayweather wouldnt be on it, Pacman would, most boxing fans would agree

'fighter', he wont be seen in the same light as the guys I listed

Just like Mayweather wont ever be seen like the past greats who fought hard

I disagree, I dont think many people are going to hold GSP off any kind of great "fighters" list. This shit is getting way out of hand now.

That doesnt mean much other than he fights worried. I saw it big time before the Shields fight. Hes very aware of his image and the pressure. I respect that but it makes him hesitant.
Sure Silva danced around but I dont see how thats any better than grasping a guy or or just throwing jabs and avoiding the engagement it takes to finish a fight. Same motivation except GSP does it non stop every fight.

He is the most complete fighter ever that didnt use all of it. Just dont see him above Silva in any way after what Silva has done to guys.

EDIT:Just realized Im starting to feel the same way about GSP as I did about DeLaHoya after the Trinidad fight.
Yep, no killer instinct on guys he should finish, Dan Hardy was KO'd by Condit, he had Kos blind in 1 eye, Jake has the stand up of empire and he actually got hit more according to fightmetrics

The last 2 guys he finished were natural LW's in the last 4 years, this mfer is coasting

But it changes nothing. Everyone and their mother knows the arm was there to be snapped, he just didnt do it.

Kuzzy confusing fighter with 'fighter'. Reminds me of dave being perplexed and confused when I rank Christopher Daniels or Eddie Edwards over some stiff like The Honky Tonk Man or Jake Roberts on a list based on workrate.

Seriously though, I see what rob is going for here, and I can't argue with GSP being left off of something like this.

Thats why guys get nicknamed Axe Murderer and not the Back Massager.

I dont think Wandy and Shogun was too concerned over his opponents injuries when he was kicking there face and stomping there cheeks. You're there for a purpose this isnt a dojo or some amateur fight where its in everyones interest to play it safe.
Hardys the one that needed to worry about his own arm not GSP.
Much as I hate em someone like Mir would walk away with an arm. If your not tapping at that point your either not hurting ,or not respecting what Im doing to you.

Bottom line its not an isolated incident. That lack of desire to finish is fear based and a damn good reason to not praise a 'fighter'. GSP is like the running back who always jumps out of bounds.
Best reason to have a license.

I really wasnt arguing GSP being left off this "list" at all..

                          1. Alistair Overeem

I could just have typed THE REEM and that would be good enough, Alistair Overeem is pure destruction in MMA and Kickboxing, let’s look at his MMA stats first, 34 wins, 33 of them by finish, that’s just ridiculous, 19 subs and 14 TKO’s, Alistair isn’t just looking for just a win, but a ‘no doubt about it’ win

Probably the most well rounded HW in MMA today, with one of the best signature strikes in MMA with the UBERKNEE, ask Fujita’s skull about it. He has refined his striking and grappling over the years, now having devastating hands and solid defense, plus he won the ADCC Europe trails in grappling

THE REEM gets the ‘K-1 bonus’ on this list, competing at the highest level for HW’s and winning the K-1 Grand Prix while still fighting in MMA, mostly ducked in MMA he had to go to a sport where it isn’t possible to duck, since going back to kickboxing, he is 9-2 with wins over Badr Hari, Tyrone Spong, Gokhan Saki and Peter Aerts, only losses to Hari and a controversial decision to Remy Bonjasky

If/When Overeem beats Werdum in June he will be the undisputed linear HW champ of MMA

                          Record: 34 - 11 - 0

                          Wins 14 (T)KOs
                          19 Submissions
                          1 Decisions

                          Losses:
                          6 (T)KOs
                          2 Submissions
                          3 Decisions

Next Fight: Fabricio Werdum in the HW GP June 18th

List complete, like I said, this will replace my 'P4P rankings' because I believe this is more truer to the sport than current P4P criteria

                            1. Alistair Overeem
                            2. Nick Diaz
                            3. Anderson Silva
                            4. 'Shogun' Rua
                            5. Dan Henderson
                            6. Cain Velasquez
                            7. Jon Jones
                            8. Gegard Mousasi
                            9. Eddie Alvarez
                            10. Patricio Freire
