I liked Franson so im sad to see him go. He was a promising young player but never seemed to get it together.

I was excited for Lombardi coming in, but i just accepted the fact he wasnt going to play last year. They kept speculating when he would come back and i knew it seemed hopeless. I was thinking Lombardi was going to be a nice addition to the lack of offense the Preds are known for.

I admittedly dont know much about the two guys the preds got in return other than one of them used to play for the redwings. Are either of these guys worth anything? I would guess from the caliber of player the preds traded its not likely.

Slaney was not even in toronto's top 20 prospects (rated by most sites) and more then likely was going to get dropped by the end of this season.

Lebda was a signing from free agency last year that ended up being brutal. He was close to setting a league record though last year. He was a -25 in 20 games or something which was close to the -28 or something that the record holder held lol. Lebda would of more then likely been toronto's 7th/8th dman or played in the ahl all year.

Outside of a money drop I don't really get this from nashville but toronto is the perfect place to throw guys who are injured and may not play since they have the money to play with.

Oh and the guys that might replace franson like Blum and Ellis are sickos in their own right. Nashville dman stock pile is big enough to support this.
