what does that have to do with anything we are talking about in here?

why do you keep bringing up the average fan? who cares what Joe the Plumber thinks in this discussion

... did you not see the several posts talking about the cards for UFC and Affliction? Oh wait, you obviously did considering you even commented about the cards. Seriously, you are just trying to jump down my throat without reading anything that is being said. Grow up already.

As for the average fan... umm... maybe it is because the average fan is what makes up about 90% of any fanbase. Those are the people that the UFC and Affliction are trying to bring in. They are the key component of successful sports organizations like the NFL, NBA, and MLB. Do you really think the UFC worries about the hardcore fans? Of course not, they know that no matter what, they have the hardcore fans who will keep coming back and paying money. No, they care about attracting the average fan and getting new revenue sources.

lol, from the dude who came after me 3 times without even mentioning your name or directing anything your way, yeah I need to grow up

we were talking about the cards, the quality of fighters, not what the average fan thinks

AA won 3 straight fights in the UFC before fighting Fedor, that is not a UFC has been
Tim won 6 fights in a row, lost a decision to Randy, beat Vera and lost a title fight to Nog, that is not a has been
Mousasi is not a UFC has been
Babalu won his last UFC fight, not a has been
Vitors last fight in the UFC was a split decison lose to tito for the title which many people thought he won, he is not a UFC has been
            Yvel is not
The UFC wanted to sign Paul for more fights but signed in Strikeforce for more money

Just stop, according to your theory half the UFC guys are UFC has beens, what was Diego after losing to Kos and Fitch? What is Chuck now? Is Wand a UFC has been?

So Dan and Hendo were UFC has beens back in the day, than were Pride Stars, now are back in the UFC, so if they leave they become UFC has beens X 2?

I love how a guy loses 1 fight in the UFC, they dont resign him and than they are has beens, but the UFC has guys who have been crushed 2 or 3 times in row are still signed and than are headlining cards and everyone creams over them

I guess Anderson Silva is a Pride has been than?
Right because you harping on these low level second rate productions featuring non contenders isnt predictable.

ONLY you consider Babalu , Tim , AA , Vitor not has beens.
None of them are legit contenders. I said that before either Tim or AA stepped in with Fedor. You were the one defending AA as being "elite"
saying he doesnt have a glass jaw only to watch him get wrecked in a few seconds in his last fight. You ate crow then keep eating it.

Spare me the Affliction/Strikeforce, let me name drop Frank for the 598457th time to show I know whats a good PPV purchase.

Babalu = Losing 2 of his last 3 fights in UFC BADLY.
Vitor= Last win was first win of consequence in 5 years.
Tim / AA -- Contenders for ceramic jaws of the year.

A bunch of has beens fighting each other doesnt suddenly make them contenders again. They are middle of the pack. UFC one way or the other you're going to have to face "elite" fighters sooner or later.
Im waiting for the day Tito fights for strike force against Babalu or Frank or another washup praising that fight as must see TV.

Babalu, Soko , Tim , AA , Vitor , werent going within half a mile of a championship belt. So some round robin series of card between them all of a sudden Im supposed to plunk down money if not we're clowns ??
            GTFO

Even there website has 3rd rate myspace level production.

Big difference in being exciting for something I dled for free and watched on a sunday afternoon...and plunking down 50$ and expecting my moneys worth.
Affliction = Torrent worthy nothing more.

basically you said nothing, vitors last fight in the UFC was a split decision loss to Tito for the title but he isnt worthy or in title contention after that?

AA won 3 straight fights and wanted more money, that doesnt mean he is a has been at the time he fought fedor

tim was the most dominant HW for years, lost to randy, beat vera, lost to nog for the title, that is not a has been at the time

So is Cro Cop a UFC has been now he is not? Anderson a pride wash out? Wand? Is guida a strikeofrce/shooto has been?

Pretty soon Randy will be out of the UFC and signing a one fight deal with Affliction in order to fight Fedor. Once that happens the PPV numbers will be huge and that'll breathe life back into their organization.

Randy will be closing in on 50 by that point. Odds are, he will have one more fight with UFC and if Dana has a say in the matter, he will bury him like he did to Tito. He will put him up against someone he doesn't stand a chance of beating and just let him go off a beaten man.

At that point, no one would care. It would just be Fedor against another old UFC guy rather than Fedor vs Lesnar.

Vs the UFC who put on two good events the entire year. Please man. Anyway Affliction PPVs aren't 50 bucks and again Trilogy is going to be offered at a discounted rate if between 30-40 bucks isn't worth Fedor/Barnett plus a solid undercard then none of these UFC events are worth it either. You keep hating on Babalu and these other guys who for the most part are still top 10 in their division.

Randy has what, one or two fights at the most left on his contract. He still wants Fedor, badly and that's still an interesting match-up. Are you guys telling me that Randy/Fedor isn't worth talking about either? What's going on here?

Whos hating ? Its accurate they are NON contenders. Its a fact.

Even a decent card in a shitty ring with shitty production isnt worth 30-40 bucks 3 weeks removed from UFC100.

No, Randy/Fedor would be good now or a few years ago, definitely. The problem is that Dana isn't going to let Randy go make Affliction a lot of money. He is going to make sure Randy wants to retire in the UFC. Dana is going to basically use Randy as a way to bump up the future faces of the division. He'll put him in fights against guys that Randy doesn't match up well against and by the time his contract is up, Randy will be a nearly 50 year old guy who would only be laughed at if he fought Fedor.

Randy is a great fighter, make no doubt about that, but to say he will be a draw in around 2 years is a stretch, especially if he gets beat in his last few fights in the UFC.

again, how was AA a non conternder when he fought Fedor after 3 staright wins?

how was Tim a non contender when he just lost a title fight?

how is Vitor a non contender when Dana was just trying to sign him and his last lose before leaving the UFC was a split decision title fight?

                                Fedor/Barnet is 10X the fight of Brock/Mir

Mousasi is a great up and comer

For the record Wand is like 2-5 in the UFC, OMG he is a loser!
