I did some digging and tweeted what I was told.

I'm told Cody is legit not under contract because he wanted time off post marriage. He is working date to date with WWE and plans on taking indie shots when the non compete runs out. He is friends with Pat Buck so that's the PWS connection.

The story about him being under contract could be a work to put over the storyline, who knows, but I dont see the point of PWS advertising the guy unless they know he's going to appear. Either WWE is allowing Cody to take indie shots to put over the gimmick, or what i'm hearing from the PWS side is legit. Either way, I say he works the show.

I should also note that Cody has every intention of staying with WWE. He apparently just wanted some time away to let his new marriage settle. If he does take booking in a few months, it's indicative of nothing other than keeping busy/doing favors/putting over his "firing".

They let Punk show up at some Indy shows when he was putting over being without the contract...so I can buy it.

Of course since Cody is tight with Buck, they could just be helping him put over his storyline, and both sides may know he isn't going to work for them.

IF that is the case, that is extremely stupid and serves no purpose to bait & switch your fans like that. I say he works at least one show. The motivation/purpose and where the truth lies as to why/how it's happening is up to you.

"Ironman" Rob Conway will defend his title against the NWA Lone Star Heavyweight Champion "Addictive and Expensive" Byron Wilcott. This will be a no DQ match.

NWA World Tag Team Title Match
Satosihi Kojima and Hiroyoshi Tenzan of New Japan Pro Wrestling will challenge the "Killer Elite Squad" Lance Hoyt/Archer and Davey Boy Smith Jr. for the NWA World Tag Team Titles.

NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Championship Title Match
Jason "The Gift" Kincaid will defend the title against the man he took it from, Chase Owens.

NWA Lone Star Tag Team Title Match
"The Sons of Texas", "Cowboy" James Claxton and Alex Reigns will defend their titles against "The Lords of Kaos" Damien Wayne and Lance Erikson

Also, Meltzer says JUSHIN LIGER is headed over to replace Kojima.

With Kojima injured, the NWA Tag Title match will be rebooked. They could put Watanabe with Tenzan like New Japan is doing at "King of Pro Wrestling", or maybe even Liger. Personally, i'd use Liger in a singles match. We'll see.

Ricky Starks really, really wants to work Gedo. I'm pulling for him, but I doubt it happens. It would be a good match style wise.

Show is loaded. NWA is bringing in everybody. The junior title, Damien Wayne, KOTU, Michael m'fn Tarver, etc. LOU MARCONI. Should be a great show.

I wasnt going to say anything, but I was all excited to see Damien Wayne, who I think is really good, but then I saw he was teaming with Erickson and it was a huge letdown.

I cant believe Lou Marconi is coming in. I feel like I first saw him when I was a fucking teenager. Where does he come in from?

Looks like Marconi travels with Wayne & Erickson, all of his recent stuff is from the Virginia/Maryland/Carolina area.
