The show is headlined by Johnny Gargano defending the Open the Freedom Gate title against Jimmy Susumu. Horiguchi & Susumu vs. Bravado Brothers will be on the 11/17 show at the Brooklyn Lyceum headlined by Gargano vs. Masaaki Mochizuki.

September 6th, Ian Rotten, citing stomach cancer, cancels the Ted Petty Invitational, leaving people who bought tickets fucked, and wrestlers he booked scrambling for last minute bookings.

He released this today:



In less than two months, he was diagnosed, treated, and cured! Because that's how cancer works!

How nice of him to honor credit THOUGH MONDAY. What a guy.

Seriously, fuck this guy.

The PWPonderings crew got on my case for comparing him having cancer to the boy who cried wolf.

Not bad cards but the depth and overall talent level in these shows compared to what they produced in the past few years is pretty stark.

EDIT - Just watched this. About half way through, I wasn't digging it very much because Hero was really spamming those elbows. But then I picked up on what they were doing, with Fish being manhandled and surviving, and playing the Japanese mid carder who will. not. die. role. Ended up being a pretty cool match.

EVOLVE was better off with this hard hitting workhorse style than what it is now, which is "welp, no japs are coming in, so let's call Derek Ryze, Marti Belle, & Los Bendejos to fill the undercard and call this baby EVOLVE."
