How did the crowd look? The site advertised the first 2 rows were sold out in advance. Not the case for Orlando however. I'm expecting like 100 people tops at this thing

It looked like the best Orpheum crowd they've had in a while, maybe ever. This could be because of the HD, because the place looked much bigger with the clear picture as dumb as that sounds. But it probably has more to do with Hero. Hero has popped crowds everywhere he's been booked, including in front of my own eyes at Inspire where I got there a half hour early and could barely park.

Here are my notes from last night's EVOLVE26 show.

-I would be willing to do anything to be with Su Yung. God damn she is attractive as hell.

-The local crowd really loved Lince Dorado. He does a ton of local shows with the C level indie in Orlando I Believe in Wrestling. I thought he was good but he wasn't anything I'd rant and rave about like most people were doing.

-Maxwell Chicago and Chuck Taylor was a great change of pace comedy match. I realize that a lot of wrestling fans won't like Maxwell Chicago but I loved him. I thought it was entertaining as hell especially since Chuck Taylor has the charisma necessary to make that kind of match work.

-I really don't like the Bravado Brothers. I find them bland and boring as fuck. I have no idea why they are the champions. I was very impressed with Dos Ben Dejos but Jay Rios got really fucked on a springboard spot because the ropes were loose as hell. I talked to him about it during intermission and he was heated about it.

-Trent and Ricochet had one of the best live matches I've ever seen. It was very crisp and entertaining throughout. Ricochet also showed a lot more charisma than I originally expected as he was interacting with the crowd the whole match, especially these two fat black chicks sitting next to me that were cheering for Trent the whole match. After the match he made a point of telling them that they must feel like idiots. He also flipped off the NXT guys who were in attendance.

-I find it obvious that someone in NXT creative watches indy wrestling because Bo Dallas seems to be doing a terrible WWE ripoff of Johnny Gargano. Gargano is great as the delusional heel champion.

-Jon Davis is bleh. Nothing more to say about that

-Uhaa Nation will be on Raw by 2015. It's a lock.

-The Chris Hero/Tony Nese match started off terribly slow. I nearly used it as a bathroom break time because the first 5 minutes was nothing but mat wrestling. It finally picked up the pace and I was very entertained. I don't know what it is but I don't like Nese much. It might be the fact that he's so small and bland. He's talented but I just don't care for him.

-I loved the fact that I got to see The Young Bucks live but I was a little disappointed as I feel they were kind of just skating through the match. It didn't seem as good as many of the matches I've seen online. I wonder if it's because of the last minute lineup change with Chuck Taylor being put in the match. I do love how cocky the Bucks were as one of them(the dark haired one) screamed at the ref "I just wrestled the Tokyo Dome Suck it!"

Overall I would definately pay to see another Evolve show the next time they come to Florida despite the fact that the Florida wrestling fans are still TNA mark scum.

Gabe misread the landscape on the Bravado's/Bucks double turn. Bucks are killing it as heels everywhere they work, and the Bravado's have never gotten over anywhere, not ROH, not NOAH, not here. They seem like good dudes but they just don't connect with the crowd.

I don't think Gabe misread anything...I think he just made a really bad move. Different for the sake of being different.

Saw an announcement today that RCW will have a locally broadcast TV show starting February 16th-

River City Wrestling hits the airwaves!
Weekly TV show beginning February 16

San Antonio, TX (January 14, 2014) – Today, we’re happy to announce that United Wrestling Network (United) participating promotion River City Wrestling (RCW) has secured a time slot with Gannett Broadcasting’s bilingual station Estrella TV. "RCW Stars of Wrestling/Las Estrellas de la Lucha Libre" will air Sunday mornings at 8:30 starting on February 16th.

"Today is a special day for our company. A lot has been achieved in the last 12 years. Our fans are the heart and soul of RCW and they are the reason we've agreed to work with 'United' on creating a local television show. This breakthrough program will be special for both American and Hispanics audiences as it will be bilingual, offering segments both in English and Spanish. With San Antonio's proud Hispanic culture, this will enable RCW to reach larger audiences," said Brandon Oliver, Managing Member of River City Wrestling, LLC.

"When we announced the 'United' concept late last year I was overwhelmed with requests from promotions worldwide. Once I explained the criteria for membership, I never heard back from those companies. Television is the only thing that will make 'United' work properly and Brandon Oliver has been working his tail off in striking a deal with a local station. His bilingual telecast will no doubt be a success and a model for other pro wrestling promotions interested in broadcast television," stated David Marquez of the United Wrestling Network.

"'Stars of Wrestling' will also allow viewers more access to RCW including never-before-seen footage and exclusive content. The broadcast will also showcase the RCW Gym Wrestling School, a training facility based here in San Antonio. Again, we would like to thank the fans for supporting us for more than 12 years. Their incredible enthusiasm enabled RCW in striving to put out the best product possible. We would also like to thank our incredible community partners, the various non-profit organizations that RCW works with in strengthening our community,” continued Oliver.
