I saw the RCW guys at the Royal Rumble PPV last night. Oliver told me the headline match for the February 7th event was going to be the International Champion Sammy Guevara getting a shot for the RCW title against Michael Faith. I told him I thought that would be a good one since Guevara is a hard worker and a crowd favorite. The only downside is that Faith probably has him by 100+ pounds.

The 2nd major match for the February 7th RCW card was announced today-
Former RCW Champion Jingo Wallabee and RCW promoter/Hardbody member Brandon "Boom Boom" Oliver face off against "Ravishing" Ryan Oshun and "Officer" Rob Love in a Fan Lumberjack Strap match. This is apparently something that RCW has done in the past, basically fans can buy $2 chances to win and 8 fans will get to be stationed around the ring with leather straps. If any wrestler finds themselves out of the ring or off of the ring apron, the fans "convince" them to get back into the ring with the straps.
Sounds interesting.Comment

Addition to the RCW card for February 7th, Paige Turner will be in a Triple Threat match with Alissa Flash and some other lady that is likely Chik Tormenta in a different mask.
New match added for Feb. 7 at Sideliners Grill. RCW Angels Championship in a Triple Threat Match. (c) Alissa Flash vs. Paige Turner vs. "Lucha Sorpresa!" Flash is the reigning Angels Champion and ranked by Pro Wrestling Illustrated as the top women's wrestler in the world. This is a huge opportunity for the up-and-coming Paige, as a win could catapult her name in women's wrestling. And who is "Lucha Sorpresa?"Comment

As expected they ran some sort of angle nobody understood at National Pro Wrestling Day and Chikara returns 5/25.Comment

Who in the fuck created the Depression gimmick?
I love ya, Biss, but there is no way you are that creative. The gimmick is A+.Comment

Quack did a good job on Observer Radio with Alvarez explaining things, even admitting that they were in the red for a long time and this whole deal was a risk they needed to take to reinvigorate interest in the company, but scheduling those dummy dates on the west coast and in North & South Dakota to put over the story, which people bought plane tickets & hotel rooms for, was a slimy move.
I get the need for the dummy dates, but they should have just been the regular cities. He should have known his hardcores would want to travel, there are people who try to make every single date.Comment

If you remember that was one of my biggest gripes from the beginning. Absolutely slime-ball tactic that didn't necessarily enhance the angle or the storyline whatsoever.
Also I had to at OUR CHIKARA FAMILY ran more shows in August through Wrestling Is than we ever did in CHIKARA. I went to two of the Wrestling Is shows at the time, combined attendance was 35.
He did a good job though of tying it all together and it was probably the most transparent Quack interview I've ever heard. He playfully danced around answers while at the same time actually giving some insights into why they want dark.Comment
