Great RCW debut for the Submission Squad tonight. They took on an RCW all star team of Joey Spector, Sammy Guevrera and Shawn Hernandez. The crowd really rallied behind the RCW stars but they fell short as the distracted ref resulted in a loss.
The main event featured Michael Faith going against former RCW champ Masada. It was a solid match that went back and forth for about 20 minutes before the ladder that Masada threw in the ring backfired on him and Michael Faith got the win.
After the match, Faith extended his hand to Masada and they embraced center ring. While this was going on the Submission Squad crashed the ring and joined forces to beat Faith senseless. All of the RCW regulars save for Hernandez (who holds Faith responsible for losing the tag belts last month) came running to the ring to try and help Faith. The Submission Squad and Masada cleared them all out and taunted the crowd for 5-10 minutes before leaving Faith alone in the ring. Faith regained his composure and swore that revenge would be coming.
All in all, another good card for RCW with a near capacity crowd.Comment

Two debuts in DGUSA so far tonight.
Yosuke Santa Maria lost to Caleb Konley, so they flew in some Japanese talent after all.
Ex-NFL player Quinn Ojinnaka debuted as an unnamed bodyguard for The Bravado's. Had a Falcons logo on his tights and it said Moose #76. Bravado's mentioned he used to protect Tom Brady. http://www.pro-football-reference.co...O/OjinQu20.htmComment

This is the first real evidence that New Japan has been able to draw outside of Japan during this new hot period. So to me, they've already set another new benchmark this year, along with running a double New Beginning PPV.
Looks like they will have a non G1 Sumo Hall sellout for the first time in a decade, too.Comment

Gabe's Mania weekend main events, no surprises here as they shot the angle for the EVOLVE title last weekend, it's always been Gargano/Ricochet long term (year long build, really), and they always finish up with the six man:
--Evolve and Dragon Gate USA have announced some main events for WrestleMania week in New Orleans:
4/3 has Chris Hero defending the Evolve title against Trent Baretta
4/4 has Johnny Gargano defending the Open the Freedom Gate title against Ricochet
4/5 has a six-man tag team match from Dragon Gate.Comment
