2009 Conference Tournament thread

The last 4 years I had a thread for all the conference tournament games over at MM, and I've decided to bring it over here. With the Big South, Horizon and Ohio Valley conferences starting tournament play in a couple days, it only makes sense to have this thread so that you guys will know who has a chance to be in the tournament from lesser conferences, as well as whether bubble teams did themselves a favor or take themselves out of the tournament picture.

Unfortunately im not very good at understanding all these conferences.. its pretty much my first year of watching NCAA Bball nightly, but im excited for it. Im sure this tourney will actually allow me to understand who is in what conference. College bball can be a complicated game..

I do this because in 2004 I had no idea how things worked with conference tournaments and who got in and stuff, and the year later I decided to make a thread in MM so that people would know of any surprising stories happening in small conferences (ie. teams that had a poor season and make a late charge, which could potentially screw up some bubble team's hopes). I suppose it can educate people who want to know who's in each conference as well haha...

Im hoping Illinois Chicago can win the Horizon league tourney. I'm pulling for them. One of my friends and classmates plays and starts for them (Tori Boyd). Also another Rockford Player Rob Eppinger plays for them. Butler has a Rockford player in Willie Veasley. I hope 1 of the 2 teams can advance.

Well, someone's bubble has burst with Cleveland State winning.

However, watch out for this Vikings team in the tournament, they've played some good teams (namely Washington, Syracuse, and West Virginia) and they beat Syracuse in their building while hanging with Washington and West Virginia. Depending on their matchup, don't be surprised to see them pull off an upset in the first round.
