That's not what I've been hearing about Rivers. I heard many of people crying about how he didn't always play "team basketball". I've also heard that the coaches don't necessarily like his style either. Either way it really doesn't matter
Rivers isn't a PG. You can't just move a scorer to the point and expect him to succeed. Rivers is a scorer first and foremost and he was recruited to be a PG. Quinn Cook is the PG of the future. Yes, he can literally play the point, because he has the ballhandling skills, but he isn't the distributor and isn't good at setting up his teammates (making them better)....you just don't learn how to do these things. IMO Rivers' game is more suited for the NBA style of basketball, which is isolation and screens.
