Ok, so I haven't used my 360 in about a week. I go to turn it on tonight to play RE5 and I have to download an update. Ok, fine. I read the update is basically pointless but it's not like I have a choice. So I select 'OK' and my 360 just locks up on the 'Downloading Update' screen. Now, my shit freezes here and there but this time I couldn't even switch it off using the power button on the console itself. So I had no choice but to unplug the power cord from the massive power brick.
I boot the system back up and everything seems ok. I download the update and this time it actually downloads. I hook up with my buddy to play RE5. We get our inventories straightened out and then start the game. We play maybe three minutes and then my screen gets all glitchy and then freezes. I reboot and start co-op up again. This time as soon as we start the game it glitches and freezes again. I reboot again and start the game and again an immediate glitch and freeze. I try to reboot again and...RROD.


And of course I try to setup a repair online and the site appears to be fucked up as well. What a fucking surprise.

I am so tired of this piece of shit.

Good thing I still have my extremely reliable PS3 and even the Wii. Rest assured I will NEVER, and I repeat NEVER buy another MS console as long as I live.

Funny you should mention that because I intially wanted the PS3 version. But after seeing that Riley, JMS and a few others were getting it for 360 I went with that version. I should've known better.

At least the Bears got Cutler...

LOL, I saw this topic while browsing the main forum menu and knew this was Twigg before I even read who started the thread. Poor guy has the WORST luck with the 360. It is a piece of shit though, I'm on my 3rd. I hardly play it anymore, but if I did I'm sure I'd be on my 4th or 5th by now.
 
The thing that pisses me off the most about this situation is that I can't get the site to work so that I can order a repair. And you can't even get through to anyone on the phone anymore. They want everyone to go through the website. But what if the website ISN"T FUCKING WORKING or if yo0u DON"T HAVE THE INTERNET?!?

I swear I must've said the word "console" to the automated Xbox bitch 50 times last night. She just kept saying "I'm sorry, I couldn't understand you." Maybe that's MS's new tactic? Just piss people off so much that they just give up on the customer service all together or go and buy a new one. I will definitely NOT be doing the latter.

I finally got through. The guy was Middle Eastern but I could actually understand him. He told me the site is "down for maintenance" and that is why I couldn't complete the order online. Of course it is!

I found it funny that he said they have my information on file but don't show any previous repair orders. Interesting how that works.
