Yesterday 2K announced that for WWE 2K15, those who pre-order will receive in-game playable character; Sting. That is great news! Even better news is that it isn’t just one version of Sting, it’s actually 2! We get the “Crow” Sting in the black and white face paint and the old school 80′s “Stinger”. That led me to spend the evening at work wondering what old school wrestlers I would want to see in WWE 2K15. After much thought and many memories, I decided that I miss some of the old tag teams from when I was a youngster. Here are the 5 that I would want to see.
[h=3]5). The Steiner Brothers[/h]
Rick and Scott Steiner broke into mainstream wrestling in the late 80′s in the NWA. Rick was the rough and tumble brawler while Scott was the athletic and agile spark plug. Being able to use them in today’s wrestling video game climate would be a great throwback to the old days.
[h=3]4). The Colossal Connection[/h]
The Colossal Connection was formed by Bobby “The Brain” Heenan in a last ditch effort to get some miles out of an ailing superstar. That superstar was none other than Andre “The Giant”. Andre teamed with Haku in sort of an odd couple pairing. The team captured the tag team titles and had some great battles in the short time they were together. Even though they had a short run, they were one of the top teams in WWF history.
[h=3]3). Demolition[/h]
The WWF’s most dominant tag-team of the late 80″s and early 90′s. Demolition was the WWF’s answer to the NWA’s “Road Warriors”. Tough, rugged, and nasty… Ax and Smash were truly “walking disasters” in the WWF for many years. I would personally love to see the leather and face paint in WWE 2K15.
[h=3]2). The Dudley Boys[/h]
“D-Von…GET THE TABLES!!!” was the war cry from one of the original hard-core tag-teams of the WWE. Buh-Buh Ray and D-Von originated in the ECW but made their fame in the WWE as the innovators or table violence. They would make a great addition to WWE 2K15… bring in the table manners for the fans!
[h=3]1). The Road Warriors[/h]
The roughest, toughest, and possibly meanest tag-team in wrestling history was there to bring the doomsday device into your living room. While they were never very technical, they beat the hell out of everyone. They rarely lost and when they did it wasn’t legitimate (usually due to interference). Having them dominate the tag-team landscape in WWE 2K15 would be amazing.
