i didnt read the link, heard on local sports radio. but they are saying that this is a decision for the rest of the year. If thats true then Quinn will probably be traded and if not, his career in cleveland is over.

what this also tells me is that Mangina never wanted quinn as his starter. He only gave him a shot because he is the fan favorite and the money they invested with the 1st round pick

imo, quinn isnt an nfl QB. he cant throw down field at all. He has had opportunity to throw passes in the 15-20 yard range and he cant hit the WR. when he tries a deep pass he is always way off. Plus he looks scared. He holds the ball way to long and then gives up a sack or gets hit and the pass goes nowhere.

DA admitted that when he came into the Ravens games that he had nothing to lose. They were down by 20 points and he took alot of chances.

I dont know if DA is the answer, but he proved to me in 2007 that he can play QB in the nfl. 2008 was a joke of a team and i doubt anyone would have played much better in that situation.

I think Quinn could do fine in a system geared towards his skill. He'd fit well in a Denver/New England sort of system.

The guilty party for the problems in Cleveland is this man...

They started by axing the right guy this time, Butch Davis and Carson (his last name eludes me at the moment). Had arguably the best situation that went to shit when the Browns gave up that fourth quarter lead to the Steelers in '02. After that Cleveland wanted Butch Davis' head on a silver platter and Carson was replaced by Savage.

Savage set the Franchise back five years by signing aging players to lengthy and expensive contracts. They just started to get younger talent two years ago. The issue is the young talent isn't panning out (Eric Wright, Brandon McDonald, Adam Elam, Brady Quinn, etc...) It will probably be another three-five years before the Browns sniff .500.

Tank this season and bring in Tebow.

Doesn't Al Lerner own one of the most successful soccer franchises in the world? Why does he own the Browns? Sell them to someone who knows something about fucking football. Goodell should be able to have the Browns and Lions go up for auction and not allow Lerner or Ford to purchase them.

its not just one game. his starts last year were shit, but you cant blame him for that. But during pre season, his numbers looked good, but even then his passes were all the short 5-10 yeard range. Playing against vanilla pre season dee's and recievers breaking long runs made his number look better then they were.

His biggest plus's were his knowledge of the playbook and reading dee on the field. Plus being a 1st rounder, they wanted to give him a shot. and he has been HORRIBLE. He cant throw a pass thats beyond a check down. ESPN said he was a 35% passer on passes 10 to 20 yards. Thats just not gonna get it done. The defense just plays that 10-15 yard range off the LOS and there is a bottle neck of action just like they were facing the red zone.
