Another Packers Player Headed for IR

Add Mike Neal to the list of Packers players on IR. It looks like the promising rookie DT/DE will be put on IR tomorrow when Al Harris is activated off the PUP list. There is also a chance Brady Poppinga will be placed on IR as well.

Mike Neal will be the sixth player on IR for the Packers, joining Jermichael Finley, Ryan Grant, Nick Barnett, Morgan Burnett, and Justin Harrell.

Imagine what they could be if they were all healthy!

A lot of teams are banged up, usually a team or two or more lose a bunch of key players in any given year. Happened to the Giants last year.

Poppi kinda sucks, but losing Neal sucks even worse. Our D-line is diminished, Pickett might not be able to go on Sunday either. Luckily, it looks like Clay will at least be able to play.

Brad Jones could be done for the season

Green Bay -- There was a good reason the Packers signed three linebackers in two days.

It turns out that the shoulder injury that has been bothering starting outside linebacker Brad Jones since Aug. 19 needs surgery. Jones has been able to play through it, but after aggravating the injury against Minnesota Sunday, the medical staff decided the only way to clear up the pain was through surgery.

According to coach Mike McCarthy, Jones wants to see if he can put off the surgery until the end of the season and see if the pain subsides. The medical staff still "doesn't have its hands" around the injury yet, McCarthy said.

Jones is definitely out this week, which means Frank Zombo will move back into the starting lineup. If Jones has the surgery he'll be done for the year.

Another one bites the dust (maybe).

This one doesn't bother me too badly. Jones is a solid guy. This certainly hurts depth. But I don't think theres much of a drop, if any, going to Zombo.
