I actually think the movies have gotten better since the first.......though I don't like how they are writing off the Redfields, who appeared in the last one. Oh well, its a solid B movie popcorn flick, I don't have many expectations out of it.
Resident Evil 4 was the last i played. When they got away from the Zombies and more towards the parasite infected villagers it got dumb as shit.
It's not even scary anymore.

I have to disagree about getting away from the virus infected zombies. I thought the Las Plagas aspect was refreshing. RE5 as a whole wasn't anything to write home about though.

Just as the last good RE game was 4 (although I thought the parasite shit was stupid too), but the last SCARY one was RE2 (God I love that game...needs to be remastered in HD).
And I used to be the biggest RE fan...now it's meh. :dunno:
I wanna be terrified and scared to go through each door again (probably helped that I was in middle school when I first played RE2). It's funny too, you'd think with the better graphics and shit the game could be 10x scary, but yet it's been the exact opposite.
Although I still have yet to play a more creepier/frightening game than Silent Hill 2 (the sound in that game MAKES it).

I agree with all of that except that RE3 was the scariest for me because of the random Nemesis appearances. You could play through it a couple of times and still not be sure when you'll turn a corner and hear "STAARRRSS!"

It might have been cause I played the shit out of RE2 so much that the 3rd one wasn't as scary. Nemesis was really the only dude that kept you on your toes really. Only thing I remember was wondering where the fuck he kept getting all these new weapons every fucking time he popped up throughout the game. Bastard.
