You all know what I'm talking about...a friend or at a garage sale you got a big box of CDs or Vinyl or DVDs and you pick it up for a real nominal fee...go home, go through the box like its a box of sports cards, and find some real gems in there?
A co-worker of mine recently said she had a box of CDs (180, she said, turned out to be like 150) and she was telling everyone how she wanted to get rid of it...I told her to bring it in, she said she wanted $20 for everything...
She brings it in, I just quickly glance and I see Sting's Ten Summoner's Tales, Dire Straits' self titled album, and Prince's Dirty Mind (I'm a big Prince fan, but I don't have a hard copy of this album)...anyway, I said fuck it, that's three albums for $20...
Bring it home, sure, I went through a lot of shit, Kidz Bop, and empty cases, but came out with probably 20-30 albums worthy of putting into the collection...some Jars of Clay, plenty of Sting, a little Bowie, Dances with Wolves soundtrack (surely, senser will at least appreciate), PM Dawn's first two albums, The Kinks, Jethro Tull, Nevermind album, Joshua Tree (I already have, but whatever), The Cars self titled album, Dire Straits Brothers In Arms...
Overall, not a bad haul for $20 bucks...also like 50+ "Greatest Hits" albums (I hate Greatest Hits albums for the most part) but what the fuck...
Any other stories of the MYSTERY BOX!?!?!?
