1. Detroit Lions: Jason Smith, OT, Baylor
With Daunte Culpepper being reunited with his old offensive coordinator i think that they can pass on a quarterback early in the draft. Offensive tackle seems to be the position of interest for the Lions and there are rumors they are already negotiating a contract with Smith
2. St. Louis Rams: Eugene Monroe, OT, Virginia
With the release of Orlando Pace offensive tackle is a huge need on an offensive line that has had real troubles.
3. Kansas City Chiefs: Aaron Curry, ILB, Wake Forest
The Chiefs defense was terrible last season. With the signing of Engram and Haley showing a great liking in Bradley and Bowe as his starters that made me take Crabtree out of consideration. Curry is the best defensive player in this draft and is a very safe pick. He should start inside along with Derrick Johnson in their new 3-4 defense.
4. Seattle Seahawks: Brian Orakpo, DE, Texas
Lawrence Jackson didn't have much impact last season and Kerney looks like he's on the tail end of his career. They acquired Redding at defensive tackle and looks like they'll completely revamp their defense with the pick here. I would have them taking a tackle but with the top 2 gone i can't see that anymore.
5. Cleveland Browns: Michael Crabtree, WR, Texas Tech
There are trade rumors involving Edwards and Stallworth with questions if he'll be available for the upcoming season Crabtree looks like it would be a great pickup for them here.
6. Cincinnati Bengals: Andre Smith, OT, Alabama
They lost Stacy Andrews to free agency and Levi Jones is injury proned and overpaid. With Palmer coming back he'll need someone to protect his backside. Smith is also a great run blocker and will help build on the success that Cedric Benson had running late last year.
7. Oakland Raiders: B.J. Raji, DT, Boston College
The Raiders have addressed their need at offensive tackle with the signings of Eric Pears and Khalif Barnes. Their really aren't any good receivers that would be worthy of this spot and a good wide receiver could be picked up in the second round. Raji is a great run stopper and the Raiders run defense has been near last for the past couple of seasons.
8. Jacksonville Jaguars: Vontae Davis, CB, Illinois
It looks as though the Jaguars have shown interest in Torry Holt according to scout.com. With the other huge need for the Jaguars being cornerback i see them selecting Vontae Davis here. Others may say they need a tackle but i think with the signing of William Thomas they will explore other areas of need.
9. Green Bay Packers: Malcom Jenkins, CB, Ohio St.
Al Harris and Charles Woodson are aging. Harris is also coming off an injury and the Packers could definitely use some more depth at cornerback. Jenkins can also play safety which adds to his value.
10. San Francisco 49ers: Matthew Stafford, QB, Georgia
If Stafford falls this far and no team trades up to draft him i think the 49ers won't even hesitate with the pick.
11. Buffalo Bills: Everette Brown, DE, Florida St.
The Bills have trouble putting pressure on opposing quarterbacks so this pick makes a whole lot of sense.
12. Denver Broncos: Tyson Jackson, DE, LSU
The Broncos are switching to a 3-4. Tyson Jackson has the ability to kick inside and play as a 3-4 end and is very scheme diverse.
13. Washington Redskins: Michael Oher, OT, Ole Miss
Michael Oher would start immediately at right tackle and could be the starting left tackle in the future. This is a pick that should be made because of the aging tackles they have. They could also draft an outside linebacker here.
14. New Orleans Saints: Brian Cushing, OLB, USC
There are no real problems concerning the Saints offense and i think it would be beneficial for them to stack up with as much talent on defense. They don't have any real great players at outside linebacker so Cushing should go here.
15. Houston Texans: Peria Jerry, DT, Mississippi
The Texans defense was bad last season. They had troubles getting pressure on the quarterback outside of Mario Williams. Jerry paired with Okoye inside could definitely get pressure on the quarterback and help this defense reach their full potential.
16. San Diego Chargers: Ray Maualuga, ILB, USC
The Chargers had trouble last year, but with a new defensive coordinator they started to play better. Maualuga playing inside would improve the teams run defense.
17. New York Jets: Mark Sanchez, QB, USC
The Jets have a great supporting cast for a young quarterback, a great rushing offense along with Rex Ryan now leading the defense. Quarterback is a need and i think he can come in as the immediate starter and have success.
18. Chicago Bears: Eben Britton, OT, Arizona
John Tait retired unexpectedly and with John St. Clair not resigning, the Bears biggest need is definitely offensive tackle. Omiyale was brought in to play left guard but was forced to right tackle because of no one else there.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Josh Freeman, QB, Kansas St.
Looking at the quarterbacks the Buccaneers have on their roster i really think their first round pick will be a quarterback. Freeman is the only available that would be worth a first round round pick.
20. Detroit Lions: Robert Ayers, DE, Tennessee
In Schwartz new defense it will be very important that the Lions get pressure with their front four and Ayers is the best available defensive end and is a good speed rusher.
21. Philadelphia Eagles: Knowshon Moreno, RB, Georgia
With Westbrook being injured the past two seasons and Buckhalter being lost to free agency a running back is a big need for the Eagles. Moreno would be a great spell back to Westbrook and he has similar skills.
22. Minnesota Vikings: Jeremy Maclin, WR, Missouri
The Vikings really tried hard to sign wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh but didn't. With Maclin falling this far i think the Vikings would definitely pick him.
23. New England Patriots: Larry English, OLB, Northern Illinois
Vrabel has been traded and English would finish the youth movement. He has incredible pass rushing abilities, but would have to learn how to play in coverage
24. Atlanta Falcons: Brandon Pettigrew, TE, Oklahoma St.
The Falcons did not have a complete tight end last season. Pettigrew will open up the Falcons offense as a pass threat in the middle of the field and is also a very good run blocker. They could also go outside linebacker or cornerback here but i don't think they'll pass up on Pettigrew.
25. Miami Dolphins: Darius Butler, CB, Connecticut
The Dolphins have Will Allen but no one else that is worthy of starting opposite of him. Eric Green most likely will play nickelback.
26. Baltimore Ravens: James Laurinaitis, ILB, Ohio St.
I think the Ravens will go linebacker here with the loss of Bart Scott and the aging Ray Lewis.
27. Indianapolis Colts: Percy Harvin, WR, Florida
With no more Marvin the Colts will probably look to get another receiver. Harvin is fast and has said he will be willing to return kicks.
28. Philadelphia Eagles: William Beatty, OT, Connecticut
The Eagles signed Stacy Andrews and it looks as if Shawn Andrews may move to tackle. I still think it would be necessary for the Eagles to get another tackle and maybe start and if not just add depth.
29. New York Giants: Hakeem Nicks, WR, North Carolina
The Giants offense looked very bad without a true number one wide receiver on the field. They lost Amani Toomer to free agency and Plaxico Burress may not be back with the team. Nicks is the best receiver available at this spot.
30. Tennessee Titans: Alphonso Smith, CB, Wake Forest
The Titans Nick Harper is aging and don't have anyone else that is really starter worthy. He would also add to the depth of the Titans defense.
31. Arizona Cardinals: Chris Wells, RB, Ohio St.
The Cardinals lost Antonio Smith but resigned two other ends so i don't think they will go end here. With Edgerrin James still a free agent i think the Cardinals will draft a running back and get Chris Wells to be a good complimentary to Tim Hightower.
32. Pittsburgh Steelers: Max Unger, C, Oregon
Max Unger is the best available lineman at this spot and can play multiple spots on the offensive line.
