According to 680 The Fan's Chuck Oliver (has Auburn ties) Gene Chizik will be fired at the end of the regular season.
 
Chuck Oliver is an okay radio guy, wouldn't trust him as a reporter though.

That said, this is not exactly a well-kept secret at this point. Gene has done absolutely zero to deserve continued employment there, he's got a pretty terrible record when you remove the three months that Cam Newton was on the payro--- er, I mean, roster ...

I've seen them and it has been downhill since Cam took a better job offer, but still. They are only 2 years removed from a NC. Chizik was mediocre before he got to Auburn, so I guess the team being this bad was to be expected.
 
I can't believe how bad this team is.. Kiel Frazier is garbage.

Petrino or Malzahn should get this job.

As for the thread, I don't believe I've ever enjoyed watching a team collapse this much since the 07 Mets.

Hopefully they clean house and we can watch all the incoming free agents scramble. Unfortunately none of them would end up in Athens for various reasons but oh well, Clemson's gain I suppose. Lawson (scheme), Johnson (scheme), Liner (idiot), Foster (tattoo).

Does Tommy Tuberville's recent success at Texas Tech make it that much worse for Auburn? I was surprised when Tuberville left. I guess it worked out for Auburn, because they won/bought the national title under Chizik, but...
 
There's smoke right now that at the end of the year (assuming this happens) Luke Fickell will be taking a MAC head coaching job, and Chizik is #1 on the board for DC... not sure how much I buy into it, but it's there.
