[PC] Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition

TLDR it's a updated remake of the original BG game. Sethmode and I talked about it. He's played it to death and may not pick this up, I'm leaning towards it because I didn't play the original BG much, and because I want to support these devs to do remakes of BG2, IWD2 and hopefully make an all new BG3.

Just wondering if any other players were out there, doing MP would be entirely new for me with this game.

It'll just take a night of drinking and I'm sure I'll end up coming home and buying it. I would definitely be down for some MP when I do though. Has there been any mention if they've improved it? Because MP before while interesting was kind of broken.

That one was one the big feature points of this project. Not only does it apparently work, but you can play cross platform with people on iOS.

I suppose we should look for MP confirmation, but this was found in one review :

Multiplayer, meanwhile, promises a proper server browser via Beamdog, but presently offers only a direct connection option.

So we should be good.

Nice! I wonder how the setup will be too. I remember there being the obvious part where the host was the Bhaalspawn (spoiler), which I was fine with, but the host also controlled all the characters other than those represented by human's. I always wanted/hoped they would make it so you could divvy that up (like 2 NPCs per PC, if need be. Or 3 and 1. Whatever).

Alright, I'm talking myself into this rapidly.

I've played 10 hours in.

Pros :

-Just like the classic game, graphics don't seem that more advanced. However, Cut scenes are redone and add a cool new experience as if you are reading a story.
-Your favorite characters are untouched and new characters will instantly become favorites. On top of the new characters, they actually communicate with the classic characters (whether good or bad)
-Ambiance and Music is a bit crisper then the classic game.
-NO 5 DISCS TO CHANGE THROUGH!!!! OMG... welcome to 2012...13


Cons :
-Difficulty level is hard as fawk. I'm fairly sure I've saved and reloaded at least 300 times already. A character dies = Reload. Being as the more "squishy" characters take a shit ton of damage and die easy... yea...
-I didn't know where to put this, so Ill just say it's a con. (although honestly it could go either way) Story line is identical to the classic, if there are new quests, I've yet to see them. Being that I've actually beaten the original Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate II Shadows of Amn on multiple occasions, I would've liked more then a few new characters.
-Bugs... Bugs.. Bugs... I've ran into quite a few bugs, that the developers have already began fixing (they've released 2 patches thus far). One bug I had was when I went into my inventory to equip a two-handed sword, my cursor disappeared and I had to Alt+Tab and quit the game and restart.

Oh and as for the Multiplayers guys, its IP connection only. As Beam Dog has yet to open up dedicated servers.

But if you guys are down to start up a MP campaign, I'd be down to play. Cuz this is my shiz...

Nah, it wasn't. I think you're thinking of KoTOR2 or something like that. No Baldur's Gate game has ever been available on Steam, and this is an individuals project anyway.

I'm a little crazy this weekend, but I have some time off next week with school out.
