Its not really bias though, rob.

This show has very little mainstream appeal and writing about it isn't going to drive internet traffic. This isn't even a big show for hardcores.

Editors are going to ask for and want UFC stories at all times, or Fedor/Hendo right now. Its not a wide range conspiracy to snub Bellator. I suppose you can call that bias, but its not the type of bias you are implying.

The heavyweights had another crazy sloppy brawl. There was even a Frye/Takayama-like moment. Easily the best fight of the night.

I heard good things about Chris Saunders, but I am very disappoint. Zero defense against Horodecki's takedowns and no submission attempts. He lost to a better fighter, but still. I was not encouraged. And Horodecki didn't exactly impress either.

Sandro flashing those hands for three rounds. I don't know why Malegarie was trying to get up after Sandro took him down. He was getting worked standing and those were his opportunities to work his submissions.

Pat Curran was a tough SOB to crack at LW and he's even more so at FW because he's bigger. His tough defense and not throwing much didn't give Mann any openings to attack. Kid Ninja was too passive and needed to push the pace instead of waiting for the last 15 seconds of the fight to explode.

Curran vs. Sandro is a really intriguing final. I can't really pick a favorite at this point.
 
When I watching Grove vs Jensen I thought of Frye vs THE HOTNESS but in the leg lock position, fun to watch

Sandro looked pretty good, but he got caught a lot in the 2nd and 3rd, Malegarie has a lot of potential and his stand up keeps getting better and better

Mann didnt let his strikes go, Curran is a tough fight and slows shit down, I think that flying knee early in the first had a big impact

I still am sticking with Sandro winnign the whole thing, but Curran is tough

This past weekend's Bellator 47 event drew the second-biggest ratings in the organization's history.

Overall, the July 23 event drew 277,000 viewers and peaked with 386,000 on MTV2. The figures fell short only of Bellator 44, which averaged 325,000 viewers.

MTV officials today emailed the figures to MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com).

In addition to the initial broadcast, an immediate replay of Bellator 47 drew 261,000 viewers.

Bellator 47, which was the second of three monthly "Summer Series" events for Bellator, took place at Casino Rama in Rama, Ontario, Canada. In the co-headliners, Pat Curran and Marlon Sandro won their semifinal fights and now meet in the eight-man featherweight-tournament finals next month at Bellator 48.
