Bellator- fighter wish list thread

Hey guys, many of you know about Bellator and its entertainment value. Many of you also know that it is moving to spike in 2013. However, Bellator doesn't have the names to generate real interest and make a big splash with the casuals. So here we discuss who Bellator should target to sign, I have my views so let me get the ball rolling with 3 guys Bellator should go get NOW.

Thales Leites- One of the best guys outside of the UFC Thales Leites has the ability to be Bellator's Middleweight or Light heavyweight champion after his debacle against Anderson Silva and loss to Alessio Sakara he has gone 6-1 winning most his fights by choke. This guy can immediately jump in to Bellator and make an impact with his slick submissions.

Tim Sylvia- The hate for Tim Sylvia on this site is really strong so i'm taking a chance bringing this name up but, Tim is some what known. I also honestly believe he could beat the majority of the Bellator heavyweight divison. If Brett Rogers can be in Bellator why not Big Tim?

Junior Assuncao- Yeah he is a UFC reject but, he still has talent and can add depth to the featherweight division.


So guys, who would you like to see Bellator pick up, for 2013.

I would without a doubt take a long look at the winner of Sylvia/Arlovski. If nothing else, they are good name opponents to feed to Cole Konrad in a "Superfight".

Aoki is an obvious one, UFC clearly isn't interested, would add a lot of juice, but i'm not sure he wants to commit to a tournament. But it's not like he has a ton of options closer to home.

I agree with Rampage, but UFC will probably make a big push to keep him in some capacity, if only to block him from going to Bellator, because he is still a legit drawing card and big star, and I believe would make a ratings difference.

If Viacom wants to open their wallets for Fedor, that's fine, he's another guy who is a proven draw (in fact, he drew more on CBS than UFC draws on FOX), but you can't break the bank on him because every company that did went out of business as a result. Bjorn is a smart guy and has let guys walk (Lombard) when deal weren't prudent, so I trust him in that regard.

And as they have been doing, they can't forget about finding prospects that Zuffa overlooks. They have done a great job finding good young talent, and that's really the key because these older names ultimately won't grow the business.

Yeah,I could see the winner of big tim vs No chin get konrad in a superfight.

Aoki is just too overrated. I'm sorry he has done great things, but anyone with some stand up can kill him.

Rampage will leave the UFC. Either he retires and becomes an actor or goes to bellator.

I didn't list Fedor because he is " retired " and I could never see him fight for Bellator never...

They need the older names to " build " the fanbase for the prospects. The UFC does it all the time.
