Bellator is not going to do well tonight ratings wise

Of course, the 'MMA Media' has done next to nothing for Strikeforce and Bellator tonight, but the little coverage they have given has been mostly to Strikeforce

Bellator has put on a great card, 4 tournament fights and no one is talking about it, MTV2 has no fan base to work with either

Going to be a rough night for Bellator and most of there audience will switch to Showtime at 10pm in the middle of there show

Id be surprised if the number is drastically different from week to week even when they go head to head with SF or UFC. There is zero visability on MTV2. Nobody knows Bellator exists.

MTV2 does around. 0.1 or 0.2 in primetime, sometimes lower (the dreaded "asterik" *** rating, meaning less than 20k were watching so they don't bother with putting out a number).

The Lucha Libre show was topping out at 90k, settling in at 0.2, I think Bellator will do similar numbers. I'm looking at 50k as a base, I don't expect the unopposed numbers to vary much.

Even best case scenerio, such as doubling the primetime avg, would still be far too few viewers to build any sort of fanbase or help the live gates. I'd like to be optimistic but I just have to be real and spit the zoofa pr. Rebney has gumption, I give him that.

Anway, not sure what Strikeforce wil do, the HW GP was there best effort ever, but this shot didnt have much star power besides Hendo

Should do better than Hendo vs Babalu I would hope which averaged 350,000, peaked at 465,000

But again, even that number is essentially worthless long term, unless execs from other (bigger) networks are keeping one eye on them. Doubtful since he signed them on for three years.

For whatever reason, Spike was advertising Bellator on MTV 2 all day Saturday.

It is what it is, they'll do their 75,000 viewers (max IMO would be 120,000ish) and move on.

not that this has anything to do with the ratings, if Bellator was smart they wouldnt even have a champion that keeps the belt

Just have a season winner and put them back in the tournament, Alvarez, Lombard, etc..should be fighting more often and would really make it fun
