Best GTA Game?

For me its between Vice City and San Andreas, but im going with Vice City, you could buy houses and businesses.

The problem with GTA IV is that there is nothing to spend your money on except guns and clothes.

GTAIV is behind GTAIII for me. Didn't deliver at all, I sold it back and I NEVER do that with games.

vice city. cant count the numerous amount of hours i spent just fucking around in that game.

San Andreas for me,

it brought so much to the table that the other one's hadn't.

character customization, I know in Vice City you could change your clothes, but in San Andreas you could definitely pick your own type of style, from everything to Tattoos, to haircuts, to what underwear your guy was wearing.

The Car modding

being able to SWIM

You could actually fly real planes in San Andreas, the loading screen was removed and you could actually travel Island to Island without having to deal with the pop up screen. add a great story like Vice City had with a time period tied into it, (Vice City - 80's, San Andreas - Early 90's), and it was just a fun game.

I haven't had fun with a video game like that since San Andreas, Vice city was great, GTA III was revolutionary, but if you compared them all side by side, I'd have to pick the one I had the most fun with, and San Andreas tops it by far... there was just to much stuff you could do in that game.

Then the modes of transportation

Planes
Helicopters
Boats
WATER
Trains

Then the gang stuff you could do like hop in a car and then pick up 3 of your gang members to ride around with you.

Then the passwords made it even more better
The Jetpack
Flying Cars
The instant Riots
Able to make everyone try to attack you
Giving every person walking around a weapon

Then it had a badass story.

IMO it was 10x better than GTA4, other than online play. GTA4 has no replay value

I think III was the best, just because it was such a departure from I & II. Vice City was essentially III set in the 80's. I did a lot more screwing around in III than in Vice City.
