Best Madden Team for you.........

What madden team of all time do you think is the best for your style of gameplay?

For instance even though the 08 Pats were one of the best teams ever I couldn't play with them(back then) because they had no RB's and their QB wasn't mobile.

For me I honestly think the best 2 are both from this year. 1st is the Steelers and 2nd the Boys.


With the Steelers I got...
2 mobile QB's just in case one goes down. I can use Dixon(85 spd) when I need to roll out for a quick pass and I can use Big Ben when I need to stay in the pocket and go deep. The new simple "Y" to sub-in/out works perfectly for this.
Willie Parker is a beast with 97 speed, and Mendenhall backing him up with strength.
Santonio Holmes and Nate Washington are both fast, and Sweed has the height.
The Defense is still good like always, but I don't have any go to players on it.

With the Boys I got.....
Tony Romo who is probably the best QB for me in the History of Madden.
Felix Jones with 96 speed is a beast and Marion Barber is a physical beast
I use T.O. and Witten but not really any of the other WR's.
on Defense Newman won't give you anything easy and don't try going deep on him. Scandrick(98 spd) fits in perfectly with my Dime blitzing scheme.

3rd I'd probably have to give to the Jaguars of 08.

For me the Patriots.

I like to pass on nearly every down and i use the Patriots offensive playbook. They have great receivers and a great pass blocking offensive line. Then in the backfield i got Faulk who has good speed at 89 and then he can catch very well for a RB with 88 catch. Brady is Brady.

Then for the defense i put Adalius Thomas and Mike Vrabel at DE with Jarvis Green as their backups then at DT i have Vince Wilfork and Richard Seymour then Ty Warren as their backups. Then at LB i got Bruschi, Mayo, and Guyton and a good secondary.

Unfortunately no one likes to play the Pats because of how great they are so i usually have to settle for the Broncos. They have no good RB in my opinion. Young and Bell fumble way to much and Hillis is to slow. Their receivers aren't as good and neither is their offensive line. Their defense is very fast though which makes me happy. I put Woodyard at MLB and then Moss as my DE starting opposite of Dumervile then they have a FS (forgot his name) with 94 spd and that defense is extremely fast and extremely good.

Oakland Raiders is the best for me hands down.

Best pass d on madden , Speed everywhere , Darrick Brown who is basicly a 99 when usered from the snap. Howard is a beast at olb/de and Morrison is Smart. Then on the Dline we have Burgess whos awesome at getting to the passer and a 95 strength dt. Truly the most overated team on madden but yet widely acknowledged as the best d on the game v the pass.

Wrs are tall for user catching and such . Miller is solid for simple underneath routes , Mcfadden - Bush - Fargas is a nasty 3 headed monster that can win the game by themselves. Russel isint that bad at all either when you learn what routes you can throw with him on the game and even if he does start sucking you can also put in the little more accurate Walter.

In the return/deep passing game you have Johnnie Lee Higgins

And then to tip it all off you have Seabass who can nail 65yard fgs.

If somebody asked me for a ranked game and said choose any team id choose the Raiders.

I would have to agree with you for myself its the current Steelers. But for different reasons

1. On offense Ben has a rocket arm, and with holmes running a slant hes almost untouchable with the ability to go deep to Washington or Ward(yeah i know, no speed yet he finds a way to get open.)
2. The o-line never seems to let me down, but they really do suck ass, so who knows the real reason.
3. Defensively, I could talk about defense with this team all day. No doubt one of the best nose tackles in the game today with big boy Hampton, then with Harrison and Woodley blitzing, qb never has time. Farrior in the middle is as sure handed tackler as your going to get, and I average at least 1-2 pics a game from Troy. Just in general its hard to score when im the steelers, love playing as their defense.

I like the steelers , Raiders just have a much better d for me on madden and only a slightly worse O so they got ahead.

when I'm playin sim i use the panthers...actually a lot of times even freestyle, with dwayne jarrett and steve smith and a 1-2 punch at RB they are solid...I'm hoping they add some good players in key positions in the draft so i can use them more.

Best team of all time? I liked using madden 07 Eagles with T.O....03 Rams were sick...a few others, when I play online i use 32 diff teams my first 32 or so games to win with all of them.

This is a hard question, it will take a minute of research to figure it out because of how long I've played madden it's hard to think back in time to the rosters/teams I've used.

In the early 90s I used a lot of the Steelers, Niners, Cowboys, Bills and my under dog team was the Lions. I could talk all day about why I loved these teams...but honestly it was all because they had the best players, except the Lions, they just had Sanders. I remember Ricky Watters one year was the fastest RB in the game at like 95 speed and I was killing fools with him. I'd say the 94-97 Cowboys were the most dominant in the game, everything about them was great, including the best o-line, great offense, Sanders on D/KR/PR/WR, just stupid good.

I got into more of a power running game in the late 90's with Eddie George and the Oilers, and then Alstot. The Bucs had a one two punch with Dunn and Alstot that I loved, and that rough D made for the perfect smashmouth team I enjoy. I got into the Vikings a little in the late 90's also, with Cunningham/Moss/Carter and a nice D when I wanted to air it out more. I guess I stuck with the Bucs mostly until around 2002 or 2003

From then until about 05-06 I was all about the Broncos. Clinton Portis was the man, and that line was awesome. Plus they had good weapons like Sharpe, Smith, McCaffery, and an overrated Lelie. Even later with Tatum Bell, and Bailey to return kicks the team was solid. Especially with Plumber as an above average scrambler. The 05 roster I think was my favorite. Even the bottom WR's had good speed, and on defense you had three fast LB's, Champ, Lynch, and some other fast DB's. Putzier was a pretty servicable TE also.

In 06 I turned to the Falcons a lot. Yeah yeah yeah I overused Vick. Sorry to all the peeps I murdered with him.

In 07 I came back home with the Steelers. I've been rocking the world with them ever since.

So I guess the team I was best at using were the 05 Broncos I think. Plumber's scrambling, a nice list of fast WR's, a fast RB through a spread out D and an overpowering o-line, mixed with that super-fast swarming D...yeah I think that team was easily the best. Right now though the Steelers I think are just as good in the 09 game.

Rams easyyyy cuz im a homer but for whatever reason Den is always the perfect fit for me. Good fast DBs with Champ, Fast LBs.

Mobile QB just enough to break a tackle or to get 4 yrds on a scramble, Tall WRs and 1 Burner, and fast scat backs.

Its funny how no matter how high a team is rated you cant play good with them. I will use Indy and be completely lost on what to do for whatever reason.

for me it was always the jaguars.. they have always been my favorite team.. i havent missed a jaguar game in 6 years, and i think when you know how team functions in real life, believe it or not it translates over to madden.. I think thats how guys are good with teams like the bills, 49ers and other below avg team. madden 09 was the first year they gave they jags an elite rating and of course everyone would want to use them.
