1. Seattle Mariners: Adding Figgins, Bradley, and Lee have been huge so far. I easily see them contending in the AL West.

2. Texas Rangers: Loved the addition of Rich Harden, and think if he's healthy, he can be pretty damn good, plus they traded Millwood and got Chris Ray who can be a sleeper.

It's not the best but The Nationals getting Pudge Rodriguez and Jason Marquis calls for some positive attention. Addresses two of their bigger needs in production from the Catcher position and a front line starter

Yes but we're talking about Washington. The fact that they are able to attract free agents that can improve the team with a very limited payroll is a plus
 
People have liked what Seattle has done in the off-season the past couple of years...then they crap it out during the season.

I won't hold my breathe but they should do better.
 
I like what the Mariners and Red Sox have done this offseason, if the Phillies can address the bullpen they will be up there too.

I was more on board with what the Phillies had done until it came out that Amaro and the owners basically ran Lee out of town.
 
The problem with the Nationals is, what's the end game?

Are they going to win the NL East? I highly doubt it. They do, though, POSSIBLY have a chance at the Wild Card if all the pieces fall together.

My vote is absolutely for the Mariners. They are my favorite in the AL West next year. I love Texas and I'm always surprised about the Angels but I just think Seattle has tools for a nice little team in 2010.

Yankee Haters:

By far its the Yankees getting Granderson for nothing (Phil Choke, Ian no arm Kennedy, And Austin Jackson) Austin is a good piece but Granderson is better then him right now.

Nick Johnson is a solid back up, great fielder one of the best defensive 1b when healthy. He can fill in at DH and is clutch at times and hes going back to NY so hell be pumped.

Vasquez I don't like the move but hey its an upgrade trading Melky for him is a steal.

Oh and we brought Pettitte back.

Nick Swisher's avg. when he came to NY was something around .270 and he had a hell of a season it maybe Kevin Long or the Stadium. But I do think Granderson will improve in every facet joining the Yankees. And no Gardner will not be our starting LF come April we will fill that void soon.
