Who do you think had the best units of the season?

Running Backs & Full Backs: Kansas City Chiefs
Wide Receivers & Tight Ends: Green Bay Packers
Offensive Line: New York Jets
Defensive Line: New York Giants
Linebackers: Pittsburgh Steelers
Secondary: Green Bay Packers


Defensive line was hard for me. Would be much easier to rate a front 7 due to the mix of 3-4 and 4-3 in the league.

Pre- Jermichael Finley injury, it's easily the Packers for best receivers and tight ends. Really good list Primetime, can't say I disagree with any of it. D-Line is probably the toughest position.

RB & FB: I'd go with McFadden/Bush/Reece (Oakland Raiders) when McFadden was healthy.

Nah Green Bay is just too good at that position.

Seperate TE from WR and NE takes the cake at the TE position though.

NE's WR/TE unit is impressive because those fuckers were extremely disciplined.

People want to jizz on Brady for his INT streak but it takes some precise , disciplined pass catchers to go that long without an INT. Youll always get the occasional bad route , miscommunication , bobbled pass that leads to an INT. They sorely lacked talent but there route running and following of play is second to none. Thats why the Jets manhandled them though. They simply didnt have the physical skills to overcome a more talented guy shoving them off there route or standing at there catch point.

Tough to pick anyone else.

Forgot about special teams. I'd have to go with the Bears in that category. Hard to pick against Manning and Hester on returns, complimented by Gould having a decent year at 83% on FG. If we want to break those down even more though, I'd place it like this:

Returners: Chicago Bears
Kicker and Punter: Baltimore Ravens

Biased much? How long were Smith and Nicks out for? What did Smith/Boss do this year? How many dropped passes did they have as a unit that led directly to interceptions? GB & NE both had better units by far.

I think we can find a better unit this year than a core that led the team to the 22nd best passing attack in the league. They're a good group of receivers, but they weren't nearly the best this year.

This isn't about who is solely the most talented though. You can't put those guys as the best unit when they accounted for the 22nd ranked passing game.
