IDK about 6 games. I def. Think he deserves to be suspended, but 6 games? C'mon.

Look closey. The Ump starts walking into him, and Zambrano puts his arm up to get the ump off him. So I dont think the contact was started by Z.

I think a 5 or 6 game suspension should be automatic for starting pitchers who deserve to get suspended.

It's a joke when they're suspended for anything less.

Zambrano is possibly the most overrated player in the majors. For being an 'ace workhorse', he only wins about 15 games a year for a variety of reasons.

I wouldn't say he's "the most overrated" but I agree he doesn't have the makeup of a true ace. Sure he's got great stuff but he puts himself in bad situations and is usually good for a trip to the DL and a suspension each season.

IMO in a lot of ways he's just not dependable enough, especially mentally/emotionally, to be an ace.

Regardless of that, why the suspension? If what Zambrano is saying is true, that he didnt curse and he didnt mean to touch the ump, why the suspension? Do you get a suspension for going wild in the dugout?

ERRRR now watching the video again that contact looks very margainal. I guess cause Zambrano raised his arm a bit it looked like he intended to bump him. Guess its tough not to suspend him for that.. I didnt even notice the arm bump the first time I saw it.

Well I would say it's for going fucking ballistic, throwing his glove, throwing the ball into left field then going bat shit crazy in the dug out and "throwing" the ump out of the game. He acted like a pissy little kid and threw a temper tantrum that went too far. There was marginal contact with the umpire but I'm sure the throwing his glove and the ball was taken into account as well.

I honestly can't believe people are even debating that he should be suspended for this.

Especially when it's zero tolerance on touching an umpire. If he just stopped after touching the ump he probably only gets 3-4 games or whatever.

I'm amazed people are debating this. He not only nearly threw a ball into the stands, threw the umpire out, threw his glove down... but then went into the dugout and starting damaging team property wildly swinging a bat around.

If Milton got 4 games, a pitcher should get 24 games for doing the same thing.

Quit complaining cause he got a 6 game suspension. All that means is he will miss 1 start and play the very next day after that.
