Dude is done though. Can't play the outside, can't play the slot... I don't know why he's refusing to play safety. He's a solid tackler and could probably slide back pretty easily.
 
He either needs to move to safety or hang it up. Is it known whether or not Denver offered to let him come to camp as a safety?
 
I thought Bailey was the one refusing the move to safety? After seeing how well Aeneas Williams and Rod Woodson have transitioned and prolonged their careers, I am surprised that Bailey isn't jumping over the chance.

I would love to see him re-sign with the Redskins to finish his career, but only as a safety. I'm not even sure I would guarantee him a starting spot.

Bailey is smart not to limit himself as he enters free agency in decline. "My vision is to still play corner, but I'm a little more open-minded about the season I had last year," he said. "If a situation made sense to play safety, then I would consider it." Bailey has always been a sure tackler, though his speed is a major question mark. That can be problematic regardless of his position.

He was probably gonna be forced to reconsider eventually. Never smart to limit yourself and say you won't do certain things imo.
