The second episode of "The Ultimate Fighter 13: Team Lesnar vs. Team Dos Santos" scored a 1.0 household rating and 1.2 million viewers.
Spike TV officials today emailed the ratings information to MMAjunkie.com (UFC blog for UFC news, UFC rumors, fighter interviews and event previews/recaps | MMAjunkie.com
).
The numbers mark a slight decrease from the debut episode of the series, which earned 1.5 million viewers.
"TUF 13," which airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT, features former UFC heavyweight champion Brick Lesnar and fast-rising contender Junior Dos Santos as coaches overseeing 14 welterweight fighters vying for a UFC contract.
Episode No. 2 saw MMAjunkie.com blogger and Team Lesnar fighter Chris Cope earn a sudden-victory decision win over Team Dos Santos' Javier Torres. The win was Team Lesnar's first of the season and evened the teams' records at 1-1.
The ratings figures for episode No. 2 include a 1.4 household rating among males ages 18-34, as well as a 1.13 rating in the males 18-49 category.
By comparison, the viewership for "The Ultimate Fighter 12: Team GSP vs. Team Koscheck" saw a slight increase in its second week as 1.7 million viewers tuned in for episode No. 2 compared to 1.6 million who watched the debut.
Spike TV, which has hosted "The Ultimate Fighter" since its debut in 2005, is available in approximately 99 million homes.
