– Antrel Rolle and the team have talked contract, but this close to Rolle’s magic date — he’s due that giant $4 million roster bonus next week — I expect him to be released into the open market. What that means is anyone’s guess. The Cardinals believe Rolle would like to come back, but again, it’s all relative when it comes to dollars. Could the Dolphins — and Miami is home for Rolle — come calling for big bucks given their issues with current free safety Gibril Wilson? Might the Giants, who had all kinds of secondary issues, choose to siphon away the guy who sealed their fate this past season? Someone else?

One of the other problems in the Rolle situation: When you’re talking numbers with a guy, I don’t see how the Cards can want to jump him over the deal Adrian Wilson just signed last season (I wouldn’t think Adrian would be all that excited about that either). Does that automatically set a ceiling for Rolle?

In a thin FA market, he'll be heavily sought after. He's likely to be overpaid even if he stays in Arizona. If Arizona loses Dansby and Rolle in the same offseason, it'd be a huge blow to their defense IMO.

Im excited, cardinals are loosing people left and right. This gives a chance for the 49ers to make the playoffs. This division is so shitty. Next year 7-9 could easily win the division.

I just want my 49ers back in the playoffs been way too long

I think it's a given that Dansby is not returning to Arizona. So considering the Rolle release, I'd say it is a pretty sure thing Dansby and Rolle are both gone.

Arizona had its 2 year window of glory, now it's back to the doldrums.
 
Hopefully they can re-sign him. Rolle was finally situated at free safety and is one of my favorite players. If we lose him, that's a pretty big blow to the secondary. :(
 
This would be a major blow to the 23rd ranked pass defense in 2009. If they lose a ''stud'' like Rolle, they might actually be worse than the St. Louis Rams in 2010.

Arizona is hot garbage no matter what they do. They don't have the defense or talent to make up for losing a hall of fame quarterback. They'll be lucky to win 5 games, and Rolle won't do a fucking thing about it.
