Cavs Going After Artest

According to several league sources, the Cavaliers have been been in contact with Ron Artest.

LeBron James met with Artest on Tuesday night, according to the report.

The Rockets have had interest in Cavs free agent Anderson Varejao in the past, which opens up some possibilities of a sign-and-trade scenario - though the Cavs have said they want to re-sign Varejao

Between Artest's twitter posts and other previous sources Artest seems pretty faithful to Houston.

Without TMac and Yao we almost dethroned the Lakers and TMac could possibly return to somewhat of an original form if he has the right mentality and he is rehabs well. Honestly Yao doesn't even play that big of a role in our team. He could be a huge role but he never takes nearly enough shots that he should. Scola, Brooks, Lowry and Battier are all great players and if TMac can some how come back and lead the team then we could be one of the better teams in the West. Not Lakers or Spurs caliber without Yao but still 3rd or 4th seed in the west.

Give me one legit source that has shown that Artest has even thought about leaving Houston.

i could argue that seeing as he's doubting the "cornerstone" of your franchise in Yao ming, and clearly states that you would be the 3rd or 4th best team in the West, when he has the opportunity to play with one of the clear cut best teams in the west. You know LBJ is gonna play, and Shaq had a good year last year. Yao may never play again and Tmac is out for 3 weeks everytime he rolls out of bed the wrong way.

If the Rockets still finish in 3rd or 4th in the WEST without Yao and T-Mac id be heart attack shocked. Dont let that Lakers series fool you.. I aint gonna make excuse for bad Laker play but it was pretty evident that they were coasting.

I doubt Lebron moves to power forward. If they are stuck with the same roster, it would most likely be Mo-Artest-Lebron-Varejao-Shaq with Gibson-West-Wally-Hickson-Big Z off the bench.
