I'm not bitching. Benson has been a valuable fantasy play for at times for me so I know he is productive even though I wasn't watching a lot of Bengals games. If the contract is incentive laden, there is nothing but upside for the Packers. He is a proven commodity.
 
Meh..never really liked him but I don't trust any of our RB's at this point so I'm down to give him a shot.
 
Dislike the Packers extremely, but I like Benson for making the Bears look stupid. I hope he bats .500 by lighting up said Bears and striking out against the Lions.
 
Benson never really disappointed as a member of the Bengals...he still put up solid numbers for us. I think the fact he didn't get a contract until now is more because of his age. He can still be a serviceable back.

Cedric Benson is great, if you want a RB who isn't fast, is not elusive, and is not particularly powerful.

A couple of years ago, when he had that big year for the Bengals, he was running behind the best run blocking line in football. He would "burst" through gaping holes, and run in a straight line until the first defender he came in contact with tackled him.

Benson is painfully mediocre, and is identical to about 30 or 40 other 'plug and play' backs around the league whose success/failure is determined by his offensive line. Not a fan.

We don't need him to be an heavy part of our offense we need to come in pass block and give us 5-10 decent carries a game.
 
Damnit lol being a bears fan this just makes me more worried. This was a good pickup for GB as long as he keeps his head on straight (which it seems like he has his off the field issues under control now)

Oh yeah, I get that. I was just responding to Mr Bill, who admittedly wasn't watching a ton of Bengals games. Actually I think Benson is best suited as a backup.
