I agree, on paper, Sonnen should be able to wrestlefuck him like no other.

But Stann has already beaten a pair of top 10 guys in Leben and Santiago. Unless they were taking a real slow approach, he's one win (MAYBE two) away from a title shot anyway.

Plus he has the story like you mentioned and he can talk so why not rocket him tot he top? If he can't handle Sonnen then you get the natural rematch between him and And1 (assuming Okami doesn't fuck it up).

In that situation, you still have Belfort (if he beats Sexiyama) and the Bisping/Mayhem winner in the picture.

Indeed, the division is thinner than a WWE diva.
