I made another visit to the suggestion box and came out with this gem:
Truth be told, I don’t smoke weed. Never have, just not my thing. So I simply can’t tell what the best songs are to smoke to. However, I’ve listened to a lot of songs about what my grandfather used to call “the wacky tabaccy” or “them funny cigarettes” and I’ve developed some favorites.
I used two criteria to compile this list. First, the song has to be about marijuana, not just have a good smokin’ vibe. There is one possible exception, however. There’s a rather high ranking song that may, in fact, be about another drug (more on that when we get there). Second, I didn’t want more than one song from any one artist. There’s “almost” an exception here, too. One of the artists on the list actually wrote another song that also made the cut. That should be easy to figure out (hint: his wife performs the song he wrote).
If you’re a smoker, you might be high trying to read this so I’ll shut up, now. There’ll be no further commentary from me, except for about “that one” song. There will be some lines from the song praising the magical plant.
Oh, one last thing: if you get to a song you don’t like go grab your munchies while it plays in the background, it’ll be over before you get back.
