There were lots of penalties on both sides in that game that didn't get called. Not the best day for NFL officiating. Since the ref was behind the play and Rodgers facemask was not grabbed to the point that it jerked his head, it didn't catch the eye of the official who has to watch the ball once it left Rodgers hand prior to contact being made with Rodgers facemask. If it had hit the ground, it would have been called the tuck rule but since it bounced off of his foot directly into the arms of an opposing player, it was a live ball.

The game ended the way that it should have because Rackers missed a chip shot FG to end regulation.

I was under the same impression, untill I found out that the facemask happened after the fumble, so the penalty would have actually been accessed on the kick off, if there was any.

If there's an incorrect ruling or something to that effect, I can understand someone bitching.

But pissing and moaning over a missed penalty is lame as fuck. I'm sure if you reviewed the entire game tape you could find plenty of missed calls that would have altered the game in all sorts of fucked up ways.

Penalties are called and missed.....and that's part of the game.

Since it would have been a "tuck ruling" and the ball didn't hit the ground, was it not an interception rather than a fumble?

It wasn't reviewed to clarify, but I thought it was a forward moving ball.

I thought it was an INT but it was scored as a fumble, which I thought was even more odd than the underhanded pass Rodgers threw up in the air a couple of weeks ago that got scored as a fumble instead of an INT.

Either way, he held onto the ball WAY too long on that play..which has been the biggest argument against him all season.

SB36, Kurt Warner was hit in the face on the Ty Law pick 6, incredibly blatant. You can get away with that all day, but if you tap the crown of the helmet or graze a knee, here comes the flag.

You are nit-picking and straight up whining and bitching if you actually think they should have called that. It had no effect on the play itself whatsoever. Anyone that thinks that should have been called has never played football.

They called hands to the helmet on that play. I think that is a pussy ass rule but if your hand makes any contact with the QB's helmet, by rule it is a penalty.

Green Bay jobbed themselves. If Rodgers doesn't miss Jennings on the first play where he was open, this wouldn't even be in discussion. Regardless of the facemask, Rodgers did it to himself by accidentally kicking the ball up to Karlos Dansby. Green Bay jobbed themselves.

Yeah, I'm not upset with the officiating so much as I am the pathetic defense. If the Packers wanted to win, how about making the cards punt more than once? If the Packers cannot put pressure on the elite quarterbacks they will pick apart their secondary but throwing against the zone that Jarrett Bush and Brandon Underwood are in. You really think Steve Breaston and Early Doucet are that good? Please...You can thank Kurt Warner for being a hell of a qb and picking apart the weakness of the Packers: Jarrett Bush and Brandon Underwood.

The officiating was bad. No doubt. But they could have gotten past it. It seemed every time Fitzgerald caught a pass it was after he threw Woodson to the ground. I don't know how that was never called. Saw it on both his TD catches.

And when it comes to the end of the game, I was more mad about the blatant helmet to helmet late hit on Rodgers by Bertrand Berry. That's a penalty every time. I didn't understand that no call.

The Packers had no business winning that game given how awful the defense played. But you can't argue against how bad the officiating was.
