I guess I care from the perspective of a baseball fan who enjoys the history of the game and statistics.

Crawford turns 30 in August though. Reyes won't turn 30 until June 2013.

You could probably add Damon to the list too. He should finish this year with around 2740 career hits so if he can play 2-3 more years then I think he'll get 3000.

Then you have guys like Ichiro and Helton who have an outside shot 3000 if they can put up good years into their 40s.
