Do you have a nice headset for either your console or PC?

I used to use my little Xbox 360 wired headset, then i moved up to a pair of Trittons. I finally bit the bullet and got the Turtle Beach Px5 headset when Turtle Beach had a site wide sale.

It is literally night and day between one that only provides voice and the other that gives me surround sound plus voice.

I own a headset for my phone that is synced to my PS3, but I have no clue where it is. As for my 360/PC, I still just use the black Fisher Price one that came with the black 360 I got.

I've owned Trittons, I owned a pair of Turtle Beach XP500s and now I use the Astro A50s. Nothing I've ever used compares to the quality of sound of the Astros, even the Turtle Beaches that were near identical in price. They are also very comfortable.

Ive had two turtle beaches ,Im convinced they have a built in 2 year timebomb. Superb for two years then something happens.
I currently have an Astros wireless mixamp (it lets you plug in any head set/mic) paired with Sennheiser 380s. Nukes everything I had before. The sound quality for wireless is second to none. I cant speak on the headsets or long term durability (3 years in sept) but Astros SQ and surround processing is fantastic.
Turtle Beachs high end headsets have a great set of features , and were always damn good in the Bass dept. If they last then they are def a good buy.

I have the Razer Krakens and the Skull Candy Slyrs. I am happy with both but the Razer ones are better and more comfortable.

Same here. I had the A40's and sold them for the completely wireless A50's and have not regretted it once

I just use some decent earbuds too keep the noise down when I get to sneak into the living room at 5am to play BF4 while the wife and kid are sleeping.

I had Trittons and the official Sony 7.1's in the past which were far better but not justifiable anymore since I rarely play.

I rolled with the TurtleBeach P11's for $59 on the PS3 days and I was so blown away by them that I even used them to play games that weren't online just because the sound was phenomenal (this was before I had a surround sound). Then a few months before the PS4 dropped, TurtleBeach had a flash sale one weekend on its PX5's (wireless) which were one of the first announced compatible with the PS4 so I dropped $99 on those (down from $249 I believe). Now I only use the headset for playing online games since I have a sweet home system.

Bottom line, gaming headsets are a worthy investment.

99$ is a steal good job.
Definitely agree on worthwhile. The surround portion in MP alone is worth it.

I bought one of the Sony wireless 7.1 headsets that came out a few years ago for my PS3. I'm sure there are better headsets out there, but it's been fine for me. My only problem is that the mic output level is really low when it's hooked up to a PC which meant I couldn't have clear voice on my Twitch stream without either lowering the game audio dramatically or boosting the mic and introducing a lot of background static.

I bought a set of Turtle Beach XP510's last fall. Got them for $169 since they were on sale and there was a Gamer's club coupon to stack on top (regular price was $250). Absolutely wonderful headset but I am not a happy camper since wireless capability isn't supported on either the Xbox One or PS4 :facepalm:

It is with the Sony Elites and gold. You still need to plug in the USB dongle but they are totally wireless. PS4. You can plug them in to the MS headset adapter and get full surround but I couldn't get chat to work with the Elites.
