I clicked through that thread and one guy said Avril for Ginn. Not really sure how I feel about that.

I could also see Detroit talking to Miami about possibly swapping firsts and Miami throwing in extra draft picks. Although I don't know if Parcells has any history in doing that.

Here's my prediction. Reskins trade a draft pick for another draft pick or player. No specifics on the player, or the draft pick.

Absolutely, which is why I treat it as speculation and not an actual story.

Well the odds are pretty fucking good in any trade that players will be involved. Since that's what NFL teams have to trade, players and draft picks. Again, not exactly concrete info here.

I'm simply saying this guy has been a member at finheaven since 2003 and has mentioned his inside source more than a handful of times. And just like every year, three or four days after his report the major sites leak info confirming exactly what he reported.

Ok, so a major site is gonna report exactly what he posted soon? Can't wait for John Clayton's breaking news that the Lions will trade a player to the Dolphins, but he doesn't know which one.

Lions could definately move Avril or Peterson.

The lions have 4 LB's they really like. Sims, Foote, Peterson and a good rookie from last season DeAndre Levy. Peterson is set to make like 8 million dollars and he's getting older. Foote is set to be a FA, but would like to stay a Lion. One of those two (Foote or Peterson) will be the odd-man out because they can't afford to pay 4 linebackers. Footes cheaper, likes Detroit and plays inside. Peterson is older, a bit of a malcontent and is expensive.

Avril makes less sense, only because he is young (this will be his 3rd year) and has shown some promise. However, he was Marinelli/Millen pick and he's way undersized for what Schwartz/Gunther want on the DL. The old regime liked small, quck lineman. The new regime wants bigger lineman. Avril is an undersized speed rusher.

The other move could be Ernie Sims. He's a tick expensive and a little undersized for Schwartz and co. He hasn't progressed a whole lot the past two seasons either. However, he's young enough to be attractive still.

Sven, you're right that it makes the most sense to be Peterson or Avril, but Sims is a player I would like to see moved. He could move closer to home in Florida and maybe that would help him avoid the annual concussion.

He is still young and that should be attractive to a few teams. It will be interesting to see if anything surfaces from this.

Miami runs a 3-4. They aren't going to want any undersized linebackers so I thik that rules out Ernie Sims.

My money is on Avril.

Sims sucks, only reason he seemed good first two years was because he was the only good player and since the dline sucked he had a lot of tackle opporunities. Now that we actually have 3 other good LBs, they are beating him to the tackles. Sims has what like 2 INTs and like 1 sack his whole career. Trade while he has some value.
