Am I the only one who thinks the punt return rule in the NFL is retarded, in the sense where if the team who is returning the punt has a non-return man accidentally touch the ball, the ball is now live and available for the punting team to scoop?
The example you always see is the guy who is blocking for the return man, and the ball takes an awful bounce and hits the blocker in the leg. Now, the team who punted has the right to get the ball.
