EA Sports teams are going to get shit on year after year until they move away from 1 year dev cycles. You simply can't get enough done nowadays in one year for a game to be the quality people expect. The big game companies take 2-3 years to produce the blockbuster titles, and people still find stuff to complain about, and that's with months and months of playtesting (Valve are notorious for the amount of testing their titles get, and they still come out with bugs). You simply can't do it all in one year, and working 70 hour weeks doesn't help anyone.
Look at Pro-Tak, Ian said it took them 2 years to make just that one thing for the game. No wonder people feel shafted when they found out it was half implemented in last years game, and chances are it'll still have a few rough edges this year.
