That said, would the Broncos have already made the playoffs had the Cutler trade never gone down?

Honestly in the end I think it evens out. Cutler loses some games Orton doesn't due to turnovers but Cutler wins some games Orton doesn't because he's a better playmaker.

I think a lot of Cutler's turnovers this season were based out of frustration with the system he was in and the WR's he had to throw the ball to.

Orton is no question the better QB of the two when it comes to protecting the football, but Cutler has the ability to make a big throw and with Marshall/Royal/Stokley at his disposal PLUS a very bright play caller in McDaniels.. I think Cutler would have at least made this team a 9 or 10 win ball club right now.

But I could see your point as well.
 
As much as I hate Cutler, they would be a better team with him at QB.. The Broncos fall behind by more than 1 score and you know that Orton won't bring them back.

Against the Patriots the Broncos were down 17-7. They won.
Against the Eagles the Broncos were down 27-10, the Broncos tied the game.

3 Times this year, Kyle Orton has brought the Broncos back from double digit deficits.

i am pretty sure that cutlulz was 4 or 5 and oh before they lost last year. they also completed the biggest meltdown in the histroy of the nfl with cutlulz and ended up losing their divison to an 8-8 team.

I think Redskins started off 6-0 recently and missed. Maybe that was 6-2 though.

I think I also heard that out of the 51 teams to start 6-0, 4 have missed the postseason.

03 Vikings were one of the teams.
