Feelings toward Madden 10

Just curious what the general consensus is on this site.

I'm cautiously excited but it's impossible to trust an EA game on launch, considering how just about every game they released in the past year required a patch or two to become enjoyable.

Once I review the bug/glitch list posted in the first week i'll decide.

I haven't enjoyed Madden since '06 on the Xbox.

I'm cautiously optimistic. The game looks great and all the upgrades to gameplay look and sound great but this is like a broken record. Every time they do something new they either don't execute it well or disregard something that should have been addressed.

It sounds like they got their shit strait somewhat so this will probably be far and beyond the best next gen football game to date.

I've pretty much given up on Madden. Just gonna play NCAA in 2010 and maybe pick up Madden when it's "good" in 2011.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty excited for Madden this year, more than I have been in recent years. However, I'm not letting myself get too excited just in case EA is just teasing us again.

I am undecided......I think doing the every other year plan would seems to be the safe bet........I was pleased with this year's version over 2007. I am assuming 2011 will be a nice jump from 2009.

so basically I am not expecting much from this version. The graphics are fine for this generation and I can live with them for the rest of this gen's cycle. I want more attention to the very finest detail and gameplay.

If Brett Farve Licks his hands on every 3rd down....put it in the game!!!

I like the direction they are taking this year.....especially with them showing some of the game in it's early stages and the things they are trying to correct

I just dont like how they admit that the Man defense sucked last season and we are supposed to be excited about them fixing it this year. FIX IT LAST YEAR!!!

I think that we were all like this about Madden 09 saying how it was going to be awesome and shit and finally turn NG Madden around and now no one plays it anymore.

Same old EA.
Guaranteed you'll be looking forward to Madden 11 by December.

Cautious, but optimistic, I hope they do well, and they appear to be trying, but all this could just be a way to gain a few fans back, and sell a few more copies of madden 10.

Cautiously optimistic for sure. I love the lengths EA is going to reach out to the community, it's really nothing we've ever seen before and I don't think a lot of people actually realize that. But there are some things that absolutely have to be addressed gameplay wise. I like the direction this team is headed though.
