Who are acceptable female artists? Like, women who are actually decent to listen to. So far as R&B, I figure Alicia Keys, maybe Mary J., possibly Erykah Badu. So far as rock, I'm thinking Joan Jett, Janis Joplin, and Pat Bennatar.

The obvious no-listens would be the women you hear on the local Top 40 stations and the like: Lady Gaga, Britney, etc. Your Madonnas, Debbie Debs, and such.

Is there anyone else of substance? This is sort of a survey as part of research I'm doing.

Most of these chicks today don't do it for me....Beyonce, Rihianna, Ciara, Ashanti, J-Ho....please.
